    Actually Felis was correct. In the storyline Maggie (the mount) had to be given a core by the Goldsmith Guild Master and it ended up giving "her" a personality. She has a Mammet Core as her heart/brain.

    a mammet core doesnt make a magitek a puppet does it? XD i cant believe that we talk about that X

    What I mean is they have 7-8 skills because the game has been around so long. When Spirimaster first released, they had like 4~5 pet skills (which were bad). So I fully expect Summoner to obtain more pet related skills as time goes on. If Summoner came with 7~8 skills *and* all their current DoTs, then that would be somewhat unfair. A full pet class is also pretty hard to balance (so far that it hasn't been done yet as far as I know).
