My problem isn't doing ST, I have no problem with ST...it's when you get the really incompetent parties that wipe at Scylla...SCYLLA. And when it happens multiple times, you lose hope in the playerbase.

I got all my sands and oils after some 20+ runs (almost capped poetics). It wasn't always smooth sailing mind you but except for the very last two where we had to votekick MT (he was kiting the bosses. KITING) I found the level of play was quite admirable.

It is a very healer-friendly instance and I hardly had to leave CS as a SCH.

Last I checked, you get the same Soldiery and Allied Seal rewards from hunts as you did before.

You just don't get to roll in Myth tomes while you do it anymore.

This. The Allied Seals are what matter for Sands/Oils and the Hunts still drop Seals at the same rate. Unless you mean that not as many people are doing Hunts so the A/S Ranks are actually a tiny bit of a challenge and not a 30s faceroll for Seals.

My weekend was spent the same way as the OP. Capped my Poetics besides doing the new dungeons on Tuesday. I'm content with i100 pieces, but my main jobs will be getting the upgraded gear. My lesser-played jobs will be content to have ST gear.

110 means absolutely nothing if you're not best in slot, or at least stacking Soldiery and High Allagan gear together in an effort to boost your higher weighed stats. In order to do that, you'd need to complete SCOB anyways, so you might as well do that and get the sands/oils in the process.

Why would anyone try to achieve iLvl 110 BiS gear, if you could also just go ahead and get your poetics gear?
