Lag So Bad Right Now Game is Unplayable

This past week I'm constantly getting hung up on objects or error messages on the market boards because I dc many times per hour. I dc'ed out of a dungeon last night. I've died in leves 4 times this morning. Mobs look ridiculous on my screen: there and then teleported across the screen. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I don't know if it's my Internet or on SE's end but I feel like I can't do anything right now. This is very frustrating and has only happened since 2.4 hit.

I know I can't play the game like this. I can't even do easy content because the lag is so bad.

Do you have a crash every now and then after you teleport? If so, this is a regression to a previous patch done in 2.2 that fixed these issues.

No, it's kind of just a constant thing. Really jerky movement, abilities on my hotbar not lighting up, neither an enemy or I take damage for what seems an eternity and then it all happens at once. The dc symbol appears over my head about half a dozen times per hour and then the game comes back. I'm on PS3 also and they had a maintenance this week too so I'm not sure if it's related to that. I don't think it is because my partner is on PC and is getting some of the same issues (although I don't think as bad).

there was never a patch, so there was never a regression

the issue has always been in the amd drivers.

Lag, Rubber Banding and Frame Stutter can have a variety of causes. Some are on SE end, others your end and still others are caused by the 3rd parties between you and the datacenter. Understanding what is happening can make fixing things and dealing with them easier.

I too have developed a near constant lag that started about 2 weeks ago. Never had any real bad lag unless it was a general server problem ever since beta, but now all of a sudden I have a constant persistent lag. Every day. No idea what's causing it.

It's not something related to 2.4 as it started happening nearly a week and a half before the patch. Yet not a day has gone by where I haven't experienced lag in the game (in and out of instances).

I can still play the game, but it's extremely noticeable considering I've not experienced anything like this for over a year.

I have the exact same problem.
I experience major lag and dc's almost all the time since 2.4 started. Though for some reason it helped a little when I uninstalled then reinstalled PingZapper. But the problem never really went away completely.

...Riiiight. Have had the same internet since before Beta and only started having these issues 2 weeks ago. Try again.

While it could be some issue with the ISP, and yes that is a possible option, it doesn't make a lot of sense that now all of a sudden I get these issues. If it was "crappy internet" I would have had these problems from the start.

I was having an issue where sound wasn't working, quest NPCs weren't showing up, items in my inventory wouldn't appear, etc. I fixed it by turning off my PC and restarting it. Turned out to be a memory issue. If you haven't already tried that, it's worth a shot.

Hmm, while that is a bothersome issue it isn't exactly anything that I have been experiencing. The game plays just fine, aside from the lag.

My lag is GPU / CPU-side, not Internet-side.
