2.4 Main Story Revilations *SPOILERS*

• There are people in Ishgard that are open to working with the other City states; Aymeric personally would like to work together, but he is not in a position to make that decision.
• Important positions in Ishgard usually go to those of noble birth. But it IS possible to work your way up; Again, Aymeric is an example. He also hints that he had to make some heavy sacrifices along the way.
• Aparently non-Ishgardian can obtain a bit of status; Lucia (the 'taciturn knight' that is Aymeric his right hand) is apparently not of Ishgardian birth.

As for Shiva being a myth... My interpretation was that Shiva was very much a real person, but the stories about her may or may not be true. Ishgardian (religious?) literature states that she 'lay with dragons', whether that is what really happened is anyones guess. But we can assume that she definately sided with the dragons, making her the patron saint of the heretics. Which makes me wonder when Shiva lived, and how long the 'heretics' have existed.
