So this is what so many people had their britches up in knots over? A few pumpkins, a horse and useless minions, funny.
Oh and a couple sheets with holes cut in them.

And I'm saying - it doesn't matter how you want the game released or updated (or not) you have no personal rights to anything Square Enix does with FFXIV - none. You have a license to access it. If you buy the expansion - it's an expanded license. They could release the full expansion - then retro-actively remove everything and put it into a cash shop - because the Terms of Service allows for that.I said you will get all the content - cause it's ...you know... FINISHED. It has ZERO to do with ownership.
Seriously?
(It has to do with concerns that cash shop development will take away from development of content and the rest of the game... this way the expansion would be complete, so people would get the full experience up front, without feeling trade offs are happening behind the scenes on unfinished content)
Eh nothing to do about it now really, let the people who want to be nickel and dimed be nickle and dimed. It's a free market after all and businesses thrive on these kinds of people.
I hope these items will become obtainable in game.
When that happens, if it happens, I wonder how many people who got these items through the cash shop will cry if they become free in game.
You didn't expect them to go all out on the first day did you?
Let's see how much it changes in 2-3 years.
Great! Nothing I said disputes that or really has anything to do with that. And I'm saying - it doesn't matter how you want the game released or updated (or not) you have no personal rights to anything Square Enix does with FFXIV - none.
