but there would be one question: does it work on Primals? (like the items you can get from tian/ifrit/Garuda hm/ex and so on)

tam this comes under the fact that the patch has yet to go live so that's under the dev teams descression if they believed it would have a negative impact on the markets they would have never added it after all yoshi even said before ARR launch that they intended to add a thief sort of class but due to reason could not maybe this was one of them but now they have most likely come up with a way so it does not brake the game. game devs do not just throw stuff out there without making some sure sense they it wont damage there IP.

It means you get extra hippo skins, garlean joints, fleece, etc. Not sure where yall get the idea it affects tresure chests.
Did you take time to read what you just wrote? I am not complaining about drop rate increased he he, but about item drop rate DECREASED, unless you have a ninja in your group. You need to understand the difference.
Anyway, i was not really complaining in first place, i am just wondering where all this is going, and sceptical about the turn out of it.
As everyone else, i welcome the job and all the work SE put into this game, and even if it turn to be what i am scared, i am still going to enjoy and play FF14, but i can't speak for everyone, just hoping the best for this game.
Edit: just to clarify a bit, COIL use to be 100% drop for 2~4 item, if t hey plan reduce the drop to 50% just to justify the need of a ninja, well, i am happy too, but is that really what people wish? (personally i welcome every idea).

people are misunderstanding the skill. it doesnt increase the chance at something drops. it increases the quantity. rng will still be rng. even more so with primal drops because it has to be the killing blow, and the rog/nin has to not be using a certain venom.


Anything that is important comes from chests so this won't matter.

might I ask where did you find the info for item drop rate decrease? Pr0c3ss0r because i dont recal any item drop rates being lowered in the patch notes regaurding 2.4?
They wont reduce any drop from old content, that is obvious, is the new content that might not be 100% drop anymore, or lower drop rate compare what we use to see, let say, more mirror, mount style item to come in future, so it justify the need of Treasure boost.
