I did a 1 star Leve in nanawa mines with my rank 25 archer. I died twice, and got only 80sp per kill WITH guardian's aspect. Then at the end of the leve, I got another 1k SP. Whoop-dee-do.

From what I've experienced, sp for a killing a monster or crafting an item during leves has been reduced. That much is true. However... The final reward at the end is about 5% of the total sp needed to get to the next rank, and seems to depend on your current rank.
That means that lower ranked players will not get as much sp per leve, while higher ranks (receiving more bonus at the end) will get about the same sp and sometimes more (my one friend keeps excellent tabs on his leve sp lol). So for the higher ranking players, it hasn't changed much. And for the lower ranks... well they lose a bit of sp from leves, but if you remember a while ago, SE make it much easier to rank up at lower ranks, so this sort of evens it out a bit. It is no longer: woot early ranks are super easy, this game is great... then you hit higher ranks... WTF this is gay! taking forever to rank up!
This helped make it a more fluid transition between these two states I would say.
Also, idk about you people who are complaining, but have you tried parties yet? I mean, my friend and I took about 30 minutes checking potential camps and it didn't take us long to find one that gave about 20k/hour at rank 22... and I'm not talking the FFXI camping style. I'm talking about an active camp that moved, so for those of you who say "omg camping NO THX" this was not what you would think. In many senses it was more active and the mobs were layed out better than in a leve. Now I can't reveal the location until I'm past the place, so that people don't crowd me, but still... get out there and try new things. The game will really open up to you.
No it wasn't. And quit complaining about grinding being the only way to rank up (which it isn't). It gives a ton of SP, learn how to optimize grinding. Hint hint: some mobs will give you over 300 SP and are incredibly easy to take down with 5-6 people.Oh so now you are blatantly lying about me and putting words in my mouth. A new low for the thread, congrats. I have mentioned this before but you clearly skip pages.
I don't particularly care about behest, I only used to do it pre-patch because it was the fastest sp/hour. Get that into your head and stop making things up.
Yeah I understand, questing, not levequesting, and part grinding give way more SP/hour now.Neither party grinding, soloing or questing give the same SP/hour as pre-patch. Understand?
Main. Story. Quests. You can level up once off of them. Plus there's over 100 quests in the game right now, they take about 15 minutes to do and they give 1-3k SP. You must be lazy.A ton? 2-3k SP and this is how they go. A quest in gridania for 2.7k SP "Hey go to Mun-Tuy Cellars and kill 8 skeletons" In the time it takes to go there and come back I would have already gotten more SP from plain grinding. But even grinding wouldn't give the same SP/hour I could have gotten pre-patch.
Yeah, right, Mr. "Behests were the best SP before patch."Actually you resorting to lying proves it's the other way around.
EDIT: Oh and crafting leves are ridiculous now. I was getting 200-300 SP per synth as a R17 Weaver doing one of the R1 leves.
EDIT2: Oh and congratz, after 20,000 views you finally broke 100 likes.

Lv. 19 killing a Lv.26~27 yields around 400SP~ (duo kill Lv.28-33~ for around the same)
If grinding could be done in parties i wouldn't mind, but solo/duo is so mindlessly boring. I really hope they add some kind of EXP chains & FoV/GoV crap at this point...
Duo of 36 and 38 killing rank 45+ Amaaljas gave 450 SP rather reliably and quickly. From what I can understand it's not just rank that gives SP.
Chances are much like XI certain mob types gives more SP.
I fought a rank 43 dewhair and got 220 SP Rank 42 Toxic toad 270.
leading me to believe the more challenging the kill the more sp you get so people that are complaining about the 60 sp/kill need to lay off the trashmobs (marmots, dodos, cobylns?) and go for the meat risky kills if you want the sp... unless of course you like the easylulz. I mean every mmo does that they have their trashmob set which gives horrid xp because they arent what you should be killing....

This is definitely true. Usually the highest rank mob at each area is giving the best SP. The highest ranked Aldgoats, the highest ranked crabs, the highest ranked Puks, etc.

I think the new beastmen definitely have some sort of bonus as well. Most people I've talked to have agreed that they give higher SP than other mobs of the same rank. Also, raptors seem easier to kill now.
I was maxing out on 300SP for other mobs and I maxed out at 450 on Beastmen so they may also have a higher SP cap as well. This is all based on a rather short duo session though.
But Amaljaa drubbers are my main duo target for the 450 SP I get per fight hehe.
