Kinda goes without saying, I only send my retainers out for mats that are usually over farmed or a pita to get, such as apkallu eggs/down, fullmoon sardines, various animal hides, etc.
That's exactly why I'm assuming it'll be heavily restricted. Be it that it doesn't apply to dungeons/raids in general or that it's next to useless in that it only applies to very specific low level drops.
I was referring mostly to the uncommon bonus chests that can appear, like with ST and the Onion Knight or gem chest. I'm assuming that its appearance is tied in with RNG upon the defeat of the last boss, like any traditional mob drop, instead of it being tied to something else.I assume it only works on items that actually drop from monsters. A treasure chest doesn't "drop" from a monster. It's a reward for defeating something or already placed , it has absolutely nothing to do with the monster itself.
Mug will probably work for, Furnishing mats, normal items such as snurble tufts , anything a monster can actually "drop".

Let's try it on T5 or T9 boss!
this is just me, but i would think it is limited to mobs that drop items to begin with, not chests.
Delivers an attack with a potency of 140.
Additional Effect: Increases the amount of items dropped by target if Mug is the finishing blow.

which means more crafting materials for everyone from primals and maybe an opo-opo minion.
Okay then. that's what I'll do. I'll tell you a story. Can you hear them? All these people who lived in terror of you and your judgement. All these people who's ancestors devoted themselves to you, sacrificed themselves to you. Can you hear them singing?
Do u think them nin bots will happen? Cuz i hope not cuz all this material drops/ rare stuff seems a bit too much.

RNG based on winning the fight. Nothing to do with the monster. That's exactly why I'm assuming it'll be heavily restricted. Be it that it doesn't apply to dungeons/raids in general or that it's next to useless in that it only applies to very specific low level drops.

Treasure Chests are dropped and loot is randomized at the end of a fight. These things are static, the loot table comes from the dungeon itself not the monster you defeat. Monsters do have their own loot tables of different items, but they range from gil to crafting materials and other misc. items.

As long as it works better than Fargo's 'Pillage' ability, I'm good with it.
