why are we not allowed to download the update yet?

I know there is still time before the servers come back up. but could you please let us update our files? I really really really do not want to download a possible 1-4 gig update an hour or less before servers come back up. the shear amount of people who are going to be slamming the servers to download the update if you do this is going to be horrible. it took me 3 hours to download the 1.7 gig patch i needed last time i updated.

so could we please start downloading the patch now and save us a enormous headache in 12 hours?

actualy, in the past i found i could download the patch, even on large updates. within 1-2 hours after the servers go down. there is a differnce between letting people download and update and updating the servers.

Nothing is stopping you from downloading the patch, you just have to find it.

perhaps on pc but not on ps4.

They haven't been frantically writing the patch for the last 12 hours, it was finished well before they took the servers down. You can get it on PS4 too, just takes even more hacking.
