More-so than during the last 8 months?
People getting bored is not something I'd be concerned about after the previous draught. Their over-all pace is what matters.
But yes, it shouldn't take more than two months.
Delayed for a reason, that doesnt mean it wont be out, They are still working on the other patches as well as 1.18.. its just that 1.18 got delayed to make sure its 100% ready It is the Foundation starter after all.....
I didn't say there wasn't a reason, but a delay is going to affect everything that is coming in the near future.
Yeah, well, they were working on 1.18 before May and it still took 3 months to get out. It's not an indication of anything, but one can hope.
Less content hopefully means less balancing. Ifrit battle doesn't sound as Grand as the raids.
I think that people getting bored is indeed an issue. There is a difference between being bored and having patience. The only reason I have any patience at all is because it's either FFXIV, or WoW clones (or no MMO at all, LOL amiright?).
People are going to be patient with this until something better comes along that is NOT a WoW-clone. Tera and GW2 are looking to be just that. GW2 especially. I think that SE better get things in order before GW2 comes out, or they are going to drastically lose even more customers.
Quoted for truth. Most of my LS is leaving when Tera comes out if FFXIV isn't up to snuff. I don't want to but I need to cut off the limb before it becomes dead weightPeople are going to be patient with this until something better comes along that is NOT a WoW-clone. The few week wonder? I played the original in 2005 at the same time as I played XI, no reason not to. Lol.People are going to be patient with this until something better comes along that is NOT a WoW-clone. Tera and GW2 are looking to be just that. GW2 especially. People aren't going anywhere.
Again they did say, after 1.18 patches that Follow will come in Quicker Succession, 1.18 had to be delayed to make sure the Foundation is solid enough to balance the other patches on top of 1.18. Other crews work on different patches 1 team for 1.18 1 team for 1.19 1 team for 1.20 ( those patches are the "Quicker in Succession patches")If everyone were to work on 1.18 yes I would agree with your logic but since they are on separate teams working on different content, then I believe it will come out sooner than you think!
Just so everyone knows, they didn't ever say *everything* on the to-do list would be implemented by the end of summer. The only thing about jobs on the to-do list is about thecost assessment etc of implementing them, rather than the actual implementation.
I hope it comes out in September, that way they can build some steam before the fall/winter games start to hit. Also would be nice if they could split it into various smaller patches so the tweaks to the current crafting system could get in sooner and not be held up by new content.
The addition of dark matter, while ultimately beneficial seems a bit premature. I hope in the future if items become irrelevant it is more clearly noted. I also really look forward to a simplification of crafting and more inventory space.
