Yeah, well, they were working on 1.18 before May and it still took 3 months to get out. It's not an indication of anything, but one can hope.
Less content hopefully means less balancing. Ifrit battle doesn't sound as Grand as the raids.
Again they did say, after 1.18 patches that Follow will come in Quicker Succession, 1.18 had to be delayed to make sure the Foundation is solid enough to balance the other patches on top of 1.18. Other crews work on different patches 1 team for 1.18 1 team for 1.19 1 team for 1.20 ( those patches are the "Quicker in Succession patches")If everyone were to work on 1.18 yes I would agree with your logic but since they are on separate teams working on different content, then I believe it will come out sooner than you think!
Just so everyone knows, they didn't ever say *everything* on the to-do list would be implemented by the end of summer. The only thing about jobs on the to-do list is about thecost assessment etc of implementing them, rather than the actual implementation.

I hope it comes out in September, that way they can build some steam before the fall/winter games start to hit. Also would be nice if they could split it into various smaller patches so the tweaks to the current crafting system could get in sooner and not be held up by new content.
The addition of dark matter, while ultimately beneficial seems a bit premature. I hope in the future if items become irrelevant it is more clearly noted. I also really look forward to a simplification of crafting and more inventory space.

I think people are forgetting that 1.18 took so long because it was the groundwork for the new system SE wants to set in motion. 1.19 will add tweaks along with a few other things SE has been working on for quite a while now (chocobos and airships). 1.19 won't take as long to be released as 1.18 did....not nearly as long.
What you say makes 100% sense. The only problem is that I (along with many others, I would imagine) don't yet trust them. While 1.18 definitely delivered a new sense of hope, I just can't shake that feeling that they are mostly talk and not much walk. Perhaps I will be proven wrong. Let's hope so...I think people are forgetting that 1.18 took so long because it was the groundwork for the new system SE wants to set in motion. 1.19 will add tweaks along with a few other things SE has been working on for quite a while now (chocobos and airships). 1.19 won't take as long to be released as 1.18 did....not nearly as long.
I am expecting end of september if it goes well.
I see some of the tards from the wow forums have made their way over here, constantly claiming extreme delays in patches just for the sake of trolling. Patch will be out in early sept by all accounts.
Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.
It depends on the size, i guess.
We know it's going to be a lot of content/changes, but we didn't know what will be in 1.18 till few days before release.
If the content is similar to 1.18 i would say end of September as well.
We shouldn't forget the 1.18 bug fixes, too. They certainly take their time, too.
