Plea - if Musketeer becomes a Healer...

If I'd pick a more iconic movie with guns in particular in mind, I'd say Dirty Harry. If I'd pick a more iconic movie in terms of musketeers, I'd pick Three Musketeers. Either way, a more iconic pick than James Bond to me. So I remain far from convinced a Musketeer is what we'd see. I think Agent is more likely.

I would be super happy with the gun job being Chemist healer. We need a new style of healer that is not a mage, hopefully using TP instead of mana too. Having Chemist be the new healer makes perfect sense. If it will happen or not however is a different story. Whatever the job is though I honestly believe it is a healer, which I really hope too.

The FF series doesn't have that many dedicated healer jobs. It's pretty much just White Mage and White Wizard (the advanced job of White Mage in the original FF).

What it does have are jobs that have healing abilities and that can be turned into a Healer job. Scholars weren't originally healers after all, they were more akin to Red Mages in that they could use both White and Black magic. Sages are like that too. So if jobs that have healing abilities can be turned into healers for FFXIV, that opens up a lot more options.

I don't think Dirty Harry's as iconic anymore as James Bond. It could be agent, I just feel it would be a massive cop out. It's just not an established class and its mechanics would have to be completely reworked from the 1 game it was in (from the one character). Three Musketeers makes sense for a musketeer--I feel that'd be more of a class though. It could be agent, I just feel it's unlikely. If it is, I feel a more wanted class should have been in its place. Chemist fits the bill more I'd say. James Bond isn't a healer either.

People have waited so many years, most presuming we'd get an awesome DPS gunslinger.

If you only give us a Healeteer, people are gonna rage.

I can say I'll be very disappointed if Healing is their only party-role at release.

Joke aside, the boy.... got a point :x, a lot of players from 1.0 waited for the musketeer/corsair job as a dps since we had infos, lore infos about it and even a guild already ingame... Which was like was around 4 years ago, imagine the wait.

I'd be all for chemist. Kinda fits too with the whole Cid using gunblade and aqua vitae to heal.

I'll do so when the next class is officially announced as such, your words mean nothing to me. The only person(s) i'll trust with giving out such info is the developers themselves.

Why are people counting NIN? Did they say that the expansion would only have 2 new jobs?
