Healing Gunner Planned?

Lol, in another forum where people were whining about Dark Knights not being DDs I actually mentioned if they were also going to get angry if the gun class is the new healer.

Funny thing about people saying that it makes no sense to heal people with guns. It wouldn't be the first time that happened in a FF game.

Dark Knight's most defining, signature trait is that it always has some attack ability which sacrifice's your own HP.

The original Dark Knight job (and no, not counting FFII because anyone could be anything there) had no such ability. Hell, it used White Magic.

Or it could just be like 2.0 Warrior and legitimately be a horrible class that you would never want in your end-game group because it can't survive without the mitigation that is needed.

We'll have to see. No use kvetching about it this early.

Just because DRK was a dps in other games doesnt mean it will be in XIV. XIV is its own universe with its own lore stop with all the crying about it being a tank, personally I'm glad its a tank It gives it a role it hasn't been before and it'll make for an interesting class to play(this coming from a healer main)

Agent class seems bit odd if set within an MMO environment so doubt they will go that route unless drastically change it given how so female focused original agents skills were. But will wait and see, so far I am glad DRK is a tank and glad ninja is a DPS but I doubt next one will be agent if next one is healing class. Shooting people to heal them always seemed bit odd in general though I suppose it could shoot above peoples heads and bullet explodes releasing some sort of healing substance but shooting someone in the head or chest wouldn't make much sense as form of healing. I could be wrong and maybe is agent but I don't think will be combination of agent filling the role of group healer specifically in FF14.

Think some people only played FFXI out of the Final Fantasy series due to their obstinate belief that if it doesn't match Final Fantasy XIs version of a job, it aint staying true.

Thing is SE do things differently with each Final Fantasy. Get over it.

I sure hope not. Agent was the job of one character in one game. I think that would be kind of a cop out. Give us a more popular class.

what else could it possibly be? the James Bond shirt should be making it pretty clear. it was one character in one game, but this isn't that game.

More so than that it was one character in one game that for the most part only helped one gender (female) with a large amount of it's skills within your team composition. If it is an agent class it won't be like that character other than using guns and I am sure of that since that characters skill set would not work well in an MMO.
