During the the keynotes at EU fanfest, Yoshi-P showed off a James Bond 007 T-shirt, hinting at what the role of the next job will be.

Do you think it could be Agent? from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift?

"Agent is a Job class exclusive to Al-Cid in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. He wields a gun and has several abilities that only affect female characters."

If it is Agent I doubt its skills will only affect female characters, however the one thing I did note was Al-Cid's abilities such as Fawn or Flourish actually heal and buff.

And what about rdm being revealed as the healer job? I would find find it kinda silly to shoot at my friends to "heal" them... "hey mate, re you in pain? No problem, gonna finish you /shot"

Nah, this one will be a tank as well, specialises in kiting. They are saving the ludicrous healer for the samurai or berserker.

1st off they not breaking drk history drks should have been tanks and probely would have been in the history if those were online and second there is no logic behind a bullet healling someone really isnt no fantasy rule set can make it logical for a bullet to heal

in this case the reason why not is logic and fantasy worlds have some what logic

drk wears heavy armor like the rune blader)mystic knight who was a tank in most ffs well i used em as a tank so u cant say its cuz they are magical knights theres no logic behind them tanking

so there you go the reason why it makes sense it being a tank

Because Red Mage is one of SE's very few true hybrid classes and wasting it on a healer would be a wasted opportunity. SE has plenty of jobs that could take that spot.

True, but we could say the same from FFXI's Corsair too, if your reply was based on XI's rdm

Since NA revealed Ninja (dps), EU revealed Dark Knight (tank), maybe JP will reveal a healing class. So, the gunner class is a healing type. Of course, this is assuming they are just adding 3 new classes.

The majority of people who loved RDM quit RDM in FFXI because they always remembered it as a melee mage or battlemage from several previous games. Not to mention how most RDMs I knew personally ditched for blue mage since it is what they wanted as far as battle mage. Fact of the matter is Most RDMs would rather a front line mage than a back line pink mage.

Think some people only played FFXI out of the Final Fantasy series due to their obstinate belief that if it doesn't match Final Fantasy XIs version of a job, it aint staying true.

Thing is SE do things differently with each Final Fantasy. Get over it.
