Anyone who objects to this penalty is obviously a DF troll or an in-progress fisher.

With dps queue times being too long. Sometimes the commence message pops up while you're away doing something else.
This happens to me whenever I play a dps role and I see it happen a lot to other dps jobs when I play as a tank.
I always feel bad for them because they were waiting too long and probably were afk doing something else at those 45 secs.
So now dps players won't just be anxious to lose the duty. They will be also anxious for getting the penalty.
I just think this rule shouldn't be for dps. Maybe only for tanks and healers.
Eh does this effect pre-made parties/half-formed parties? Because sometimes we withdraw a few times to rearrange Jobs last second...
Seems sort of overkill.

Honestly, I can see this backfiring. Yes there were people that fished for in-progress runs, but I think these people are actually a minority. The majority of the times when someone doesn't click duty it's for a legit reason, like they had to go afk, or the game was minimized and they missed the queue.
It could end up being that duty queues actually end up being longer than usual, because so many people are stuck with a 30 minute penalty for one reason or another that you just end up waiting longer because someone that maybe would have just re-queued right away, now has to wait 30 minutes. If that person was the only other person in queue for that dungeon, which could very well be the case at lower levels, now everyone else has to wait until that person's penalty runs out, or until someone else decides to do the same dungeon as you.

Rofl, do you go hunting for pots of gold at the end of the rainbow also? There should be no legitimate reason why you have to withdraw from a queue prompt more than 3 times in a day. If you plan to go afk, drop queue, if you are alt tabbed, turn on option to hear game sounds without game being the active window. As for crafting, drop craft to join, and if you are doing endgame crafting while queued... why?Honestly, I can see this backfiring. Might inconvenience a few people who like to multitask stuff while queued, but if it can prevent the 15-30 min games of queue prompt tag it'll be worth it. Also dont see this increases queue times at all, except maybe the first few days. People will learn rather quickly not to withdraw from queue prompt unless they have to, at which point the same amount of people will be queued for same amount of content, just with no one fishing for in progress to get a quick win.
I like this addition, but the one thing this doesn't stop is people going into the Duty and then quitting to just get a 30 min timer. The statement only says that in terms of hitting or not hitting withdraw. It doesn't say anything about people going into a duty and then leaving straight away to avoid the 1 day timer and just get the 30 min timer.
No, the rule applies to everyone. No one is a special case. If you really have to step offline to do something, then withdraw and rejoin when you come back. I don't care what class you play as, I want you ready with the rest of the group. With dps queue times being too long. Sometimes the commence message pops up while you're away doing something else.

The lockout is not for a day. The 3 strike count is for a day. The penalty you get is the same as leaving a dungeon.
Don't know why people are assuming the lockout to be a day. It doesn't make sense to punish those that were afk 3 times during a queue more than those who leave a dungeon. If a dungeon leaver gets a 30 minute penalty and there is no mention of any change regarding that, it is much more logical to assume that the penalty of not responding to queue 3 times in a day is the same.

This sounds awesome for me. It also punishes those people that leave the dungeon at the start "because they don't like it".
It pisses me off.
They DID IT! <3
To be honest, I see more DPS withdraw than tanks and healers. nearly always waiting at 1/1 1/1 1/2 or 2/2 2/2 3/4 just for someone to withdraw.
