Hey guys, am I the only one noticing a considerable lack of cash shop in the patch notes? Are they actually listening to us?

I was curious about this too. I know it seems a lot of us here know about the cash shop, but almost everyone in game is completely oblivious. I find this funny, because so many people argue that either side is a small minority - we're all a minority b/c no one knows about it yet. This could be a calculated move on SE's part to keep the cash shop hush so the masses don't rush to the forums. Not everyone watched that twitch, and most players I know don't even care about live letters. Who knows though. I definitely think we'll see more of a response (pro or anti) once the patch comes out and people see just exactly what's going on.

They don't usually list promo or bought items in patch notes, like the ones you get from CD or from buying the Mog Plush. Also there is plenty of us who want to buy the items on the cash shop so there is no reason they wouldn't do it.

Well the cash shop is linked to the game but in itself its own thing and those notices would fall under Lodestone and Mog Station related announcements. The cash shop minions are in the patch with no indication they're cash shop only when they have already been confirmed, so from now on there's no way of knowing which items will be cash shop only and which will be in game rewards until they get announced beforehand, if they even do.
I would say that because it not actually part of the patch, but a site feature which happens to be launched at the same time. We'll most likely see a separate post on the cash shop appear on lodestone to the 2.4 notes come the 28th.

Probably not.
This is how it usually starts. Small, simple, unintrusive. Then they slowly add more and more to get you acclimated. Before you know it, you got a full sized cash shop with all sorts of exclusive fanciful gear, mounts, minions and 'more' all for the low price of your subscription plus a few extra bucks you won't notice add up.

yep, totally agree.Probably not.
