And by very long time, we do mean very, very long ago. As in, at least as long ago as the time of the Allagan Empire, back in the Third Astral Era. By comparison, the Dravanians go back to perhaps a thousand years or more, into the Sixth Astral Era, and perhaps also in Fifth Astral Era. Meaning to say, I doubt Bahamut is the primal of the Dravanians, since he's been around for far, far longer than they have. (At this point, I'd hazard that the Dravanians are the descendants of dragons once enslaved by the Allagans, but are no longer of the same race).

It's anyone's guess what a primal truly is at this moment. The Scions were just as confused as we are about King Moogle Mog XII. He created aetherial disturbances the way a true primal would, even though he wasn't actually "real", in the way the "elemental six" are real, in the sense that they have actual worshippers.
