This could also mean that the Sylph were around longer than the 5 races.

"Were light and dark given form when man was born?"
That would imply that there was no "light and dark" before any of the 5 races appeared in Eorzea, but there could have been other (beast)races.

True, although it still implies that Zodiark and Hydaelyn didn't exist at the time. So if that is the case then what exactly is Hydaelyn? another primal? We already know the twelve basically are or at the least have the same need for aeather if called down.

Well, the new primals have been revealed at the London Fan Fest. They're Bismark and an all-new entry to the Final Fantasy franchise, Ravana.

New races revealed too, the Vanu Vanu and the Gnath.

And we'll be getting single-rider airships. AIRSHIPS for mounts. o_O

Indeed it seems the dragon in the Heavensward logo is truly Midgardsormr after all.

He is not a primal though as he left a corpse when he died whilst primals merely return to aether. He is a mortal dragon, though it seems he can and will be resurrected somehow. I would imagine he has an echo to share with us before he returns to rampage against Ishgard (based on what Iceheart told us).

Shiva was also a mortal who returned to the aether. They'll revive Midgardsormr through the same loophole Shiva was revived. Worship and crystals to make him a Primal.

The primal Shiva isn't actually 'Saint Shiva' though. It's noted a few times that Iceheart still had full control of her body after the summoning (so she was basically just wielding a weapon) and since Saint Shiva was a regular mortal the form the primal took clearly wasn't her either. The primal Iceheart summoned was no different to Moggle Mog in reality; a myth made manifest, though in this case the myth was based on a real person.

The situation with Midgardsormr is different. The Ishgardians don't fear him being summoned, they fear him being resurrected.

It's possible they could summon a primal version of Midgardsormr but then the Dravanians would have no need of his old corpse in silvertear...

I jokingly said that the Vanu Vanu were rivals of the Ixal and manage to drive them off of "Ayatlan"

Now with the revelation of floating lands with another bird beast tribe with their own primal then i wonder if that were truly the case? Why would the Ixal leave their homes to settle in Gridania unless they were forced out originally?

Thank you to those who are really taking a hard look at this. In the end I might not be right but 2.4 is surely giving us some interesting clues and it's pointed Midgarsormr's direction.

I was actually wondering this as well. The Ixal and the Vanu are too fundamentally different to have once been the same race but something definitely forced them to flee Ayatlan. Something also forced the Moogles to flee the Heavens though and the Twelve are said to dwell there so I wonder if we might not find the truth behind all three of those myths in the same place...
