Im for it, thou I always love having cashshops that have fashion items in them. Hopefully they make sure to ONLY put fashion-like items inside. Sadly Im also against it becuz I know my wallet is going to be crying alot after its added.

Im in favor of a cash shop as long as it doesnt have cash shop exclusive content and it just has event and past content with a certain time frame before making it to the shop itself. We are already paying for the game, paywalls only hurt customers thrust and pockets.

I'll be fine with it as long as it's either exclusive content or content that hasn't been available for a really long time (like last year's Halloween gear).
Did people rage at all about Fat Choco Mount, Coeurl Mount, and Behemoth Barding only being given to people who bought the Collector's Edition? Because this is basically the same thing, only less expensive.
Maybe I'm a lion...
It will be fine. None of this would even be a problem if people didn't have a hater boner over the possibility of Sleiphnir going in there.
Crafters getting competition from the shop on glamor items so they'll have to sell their stuff for less gil than what I'm selling the items used to make them :3

you mean like people selling dungeon runs, to ppl who want to lv up ninja, so they then can buy their novus weps, instead of *earning it*?
or buying primal/coil wins?
i dont mind CS. i used CS in other games.
more money to devs=more content.
Yoshi has always said that when they consider new content, it's always a matter of cost. so the more money they make, the more freedom they get to develop more content.
There's plenty of cash-cow games, where they are just milking ppl for money, and not developing much content; but XIV is pumping out new content at least every 3rd month, with minor content patches between major patches. So i'm not worried about that happening to XIV. There's already plenty of content, and expansion going to bring plenty more, and that's not even the final form! (hopefully)

I don't mind a cash shop even though it does concern me. Look at Blizzard these days. When they first opened theirs it was fine, cosmetics, mounts, and pets etc, now though they're selling instant max level characters which I am entirely against.
As long as Yoshi-P sticks to no pay to win and doesn't implement anything like selling max level characters then I am perfectly fine with it.
You would still need to do loads of dungeons (gonna be hours and hours) to get enough to pay for a novus though. In a way it's different than: go to cash shop, click buy, it's yours. Who sells dungeons btw, people do that? Doesn't sound that lucrative.
I'm not against the cash shop. It just worries me a bit.
