Keep past content out of Cash Shop

Well, we could say pretty much all lower lvl gear doesn't affect anyone's progression. People still wear them for glamor. The point the op is making is that the items have been available via npc all this time. Now SE has removed that npc to sell to you for cash. I disagree with a cash shop all together. Business wise, the best looks will eventually be reserved for the cash shop as incentive for you to really want them. Cash shops are a slippery slop for a subscription based mmos.

Actually, that's downright false. The Calamity Vendor isn't getting removed at all. The past content in cash shops is for people who weren't in the old events.

It wasn't the calamity vendor, it was different NPC. I know in old gridania, the npc was located by m'ketto theater...WAS. You can only buy stuff from calamity vendor if you've already obtained the item previously.

You must have missed the NPC. I never did the reindeer quest and I made sure my characters got it from the vendor. Again, this isn't the calamity vendor, it was the seasonal vendor.

Literally, they're selling you something that once was free. We can change this if we stand together. I don't understand why people want to throw away $$$ on something that was given as free

They aren't taking the NPC away in the game. You will still be able to buy them in-game if you did the quests. They're selling you something players otherwise wouldn't be able to get.

As I said in the last page, I don't support the cash shop, but if there HAD to be one, selling old seasonal events is the only thing I would want them to sell.

It lets newer players buy items they otherwise would not be able to get, perhaps for glamour purposes or something.
Older players don't have to buy the items, they can simple do the seasonal events when they are up.
If you miss an event due to being on holiday or something you'll be able to purchase the items at a later date.
Players still have the achievements, quest completed in the journal, legacy and veteran rewards to show how long they have played the game.
And Square Enix get all that moneyzzzzz.

IF the Seasonal Rewards NPC is removed, then yes, this is a horrible, and would actually be what makes them cross the line for me and make me unsub. But I'm sure they are just targeting players who missed out on the old seasonal stuff with this.

nah I didnt miss the vender. I didnt wan't those heads, I think they are ugly.

we can hope they wake up, sadly I have my doubts they will listen in this case.

I was hoping for the swimsuits from moonfire flaire next year among other things on my fresly made characters but if this is any indication of their plans there is simply no way I'm going to pay for those
