I am very sad that they include mounts and minnions in cashop ... we already pay a sub thoes items should be avaible ingame. if they make it so you can obtain the mounts minnions through playing the game (just like seasonal events or simply rare drops from a fight think about some dungeon minnions and primal mounts) then im fine with it but if its cashop only then im strongly against and it makes me very sad.
pay to play that is why we pay a sub...for the right to use a platform to play a game that was originally build in a certain way (this is not static) nobody forces you to buy anything that is in the cash shop, it is there IF you choose to, nothing to be upset about
pay to win this is the worst case it is when stuff is in the shop that gives you incredible advantage in game which is where we will be heading soon in my opinion give it time another year, it will be progressive, is a market technic.
free to play, is never totally free or at least not for long. I would NEVER EVER want this to happen to FFXIV, I have seen the damages done to another game, nice game I loved it until it became obvious that without spending hundreds of real money you could not advance.
This a game, you choose to play, a game is meant to be fun, ify ou dont like it just leave, it doesnt matter IF SE likes to see people leave of not, it is more important to understand that your pleasure or fun is what matters not IF SE will like or dislike the fact that people are leaving because of their poor choices.
A game is fun until it lasts, once it ceases to be fun is time to go...pretty simple equation in my books....not sure why there are so many pages of complains about something that is for now nothing short of anything that can annoy anyone in game...
Just me though

I'm okay with XP boost, being able to buy more allowances for leves and daily quests etc. But when it comes to minions, mounts and glamour items... it's disgusting really, we are paying a monthly fee already, a P2P is not supposed to have a cashshop, i don't care if the mount cost 1$, it's about principle. There are still so many ways to implement a way to obtain items like minions and mounts... why spoil it and let people get it just like that. i wouldn't mind if it was B2P or F2P.. SE is pretty much slapping all of us in the face and telling us that they need our money, i would rather just donate it.
This really isn't all that bad, guys. It'll add certain glamour sets, mounts, and minions to the game. It's not like they're selling i130 weapons in the shop, or level 50 job boosts. Blizzard does this for WoW as well, and it doesn't have even the slightest negative impact on the game.
It's just more ways for you to support SE for the hard work they put into the game for us. It's all optional, and it will in no way give anyone an advantage. Who knows, maybe they'll release a few things in the cash shop that you might be interested in purchasing yourself.
Maybe this CS thing finally allows SE to put some actually cool looking items in game for vanity, like those kind of things that doesnt fit as drops due lore(like clouds outfit that someone mentioned). Would love to see Lights "valkyrie" armor from XIII-2 so i could finally change my PLD's Valor armor for something else that still fits in class "theme" :3
I for one support the cash shop.
The items being added are purely for vanity and cosmetic reasons, they stated they would not make the shop pay2win.
They won't be adding classes/jobs areas or dungeons to the cash shop so I don't see the problem
The pre-order, collector's edition, and soundtrack minions cost extra money over the regular game too.
Unless I see non-cosmetic items/perks start popping up, my only problem against the cash shop is that the minions are a bit expensive for what they are.
At $5 a pop, if you buy a mere 4 minions, you've already dropped $20.
$2 a pop is a more reasonable price I think.
