Nonono, you guys have it all wrong.
Clearly, Batman is confirmed. You guys are reading too much into it.

Calling it now...the Dark Knight job quest guy will be named Bruce Wayne...or something close to it.
On a serious note,
I wonder what this means about the supposed Samurai leak as well. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, look it up on reddit.
Could DK actually be a DPS job? Or are they actually gonna add more than 3 jobs? Or is Samurai gonna be DPS(lolwut)?
Nah, DK healer, totally.
For those doubting the confirmation of DK, it should be noted that the MC and the stream hosts were saying that Yoshi-P just said something he probably shouldn't have, and has just dropped a bomb on everyone. So...there's that.
I don't know if you know this...but...Samurai in Japanese...is Samurai. Shocking isn't it?!

The thing to remember is that new jobs may require new classes, so SAM might well be a class and DRK a job. Unless they want to make DRK use axes or break their own design and make it a single-handed weapon user this time around, they'd have to add a new class for it. SAM is a two-handed sword user, DRK weapon of choice tended to be two-handed swords, just saying...
The folder leak was staged. that's bloody obvious. No way would they let random people at an expo spot it unless it was deliberate. that would be locked up tight otherwise and Soken would be in lots of trouble.

This is true, however...seeing a Dark Knight use bushido techniques would be....awkward to say the least. Not saying it hasn't been done before (Bravely Default and FFV), but seeing Samurai lead up to Dark Knight in general, would be...weird. I think the best option for Samurai is Fencer class, as that would also lead to many other options for future jobs. But that's my opinion, and probably something that won't happen. But who knows. Maybe come expansion they'll finally add the option of splitting attribute bonuses for jobs, that way Scholars and Summoners can finally be maximized in potency, and that could also apply for DK, if it does wind up branching from the Gladiator class. Just wishful thinking, oh wells.The thing to remember is that new jobs may require new classes, so SAM might well be a class and DRK a job. I also found it interesting that they "bleeped" out the whole "Knights of the Round Table" thing. I wonder what was the purpose of that? Hmmm...
They already have one handed and two handed versions of Conjurer and Thaumaturge Arms. I feel like they could apply this to other classes without it feeling too awkward. Two handed swords, one handed "javelin" style spears, one handed axes (maybe even dual wielded ala Rogue).The thing to remember is that new jobs may require new classes, so SAM might well be a class and DRK a job. I just want Dancer as a Job... ; ;
The big reason that they can do one-handed and two-handed Conjurer and Thaumaturge weapons is because the spell animations stay the same no matter what the character is holding. Paladins use the exact same casting animations as Conjurers and White Mages. Two handed swords, one-handed spears, and one handed axes would require completely new animations for most non-crossclassable attacks.They already have one handed and two handed versions of Conjurer and Thaumaturge Arms. True, but creating a whole new Class would require *significantly* more animations, not to mention development time, compared to just adding new animations for two handed versions of one handed weapons.The big reason that they can do one-handed and two-handed Conjurer and Thaumaturge weapons is because the spell animations stay the same no matter what the character is holding. Although this all could be a moot point depending on what changes they make to the basic class system.

Well.... no. They don't. As a Lalafell Black Mage, I cast attacks by swinging the weapon under my left arm and flinging it outwards. As a White Mage, I cast attacks similarly to how I cast cures, except pushing my staff towards the foe at the end. So, they do indeed have unique casting animations depending on the type of spell.
There's no reason why any weapons added wouldn't have their own unique animations either, or even unique casting animations for Dark Knight spells.
Personally, I have a hunch that Dark Knight will branch off Marauder (It makes the most sense) and be able to wield great axes, as well as have a few unique greatswords for levels 30+. No reason they couldn't change to a job-specific weapon type for DRK once you've unlocked it.

I meant "cast a spell wielding a wand and shield and then cast the same spell while wielding a staff and the animations match to the spell." Casting Protect for example will follow the same animation no matter which class casts it or what they are currently wielding.Well.... no. They don't.
