I'd laugh but I doubt that will happen. Could you imagine? Ninja wearing bulky armor. That'd be hilarious. But yeah everywhere in the trailer showing gear for rogue or monk the other isn't shown. Coil showed every class Cept SMN/NIN, Shiva did pretty much the same thing, then in the crafting we see a ruby ring on a Rogue recolor, with Monks gear not being shown yet every other class' gear is shown.

This puts me at a pretty obvious conclusion... But I'd still laugh if they share gear with DRG like you said xP. THat'd just be hilarious.

Ah well I've been a Monk main since 2.0 so I just lucked out. But I was switching with the full assumption I'd have to fully regear 100%. But that was a big gamble you did there, guess you should be glad to see it paid off. Although I still gotta re farm T5 for the weapon for glamour.
