    Well I guess for me what I would really like to see in 2.0 would be a big graphical update and a more expanded world. That would just hook me for 10 years. I also think SE needs to put higher lvl mobs in certain parts of world maybe a cave full of lvl 50 mobs with item level 100 gear on. Let blk mage have sneak and white mage have invisi. Basically take the good aspects and schematics from ff11 and the good aspects of ff14 1.0 meaning a graphics update, more open world and weighted characters and put that all into realm reborn. I won't lie it does in some areas feel cramped or crowded, example: mor dhana can get really cramp on my server especially during japanese prime time.

    This is what it kind of comes down to, 1.0 level of perfection in models, textures, and style was unsustainable in the long run. With current technology, you just can't produce assets at that level of fidelity at a rate that will satisfy customers. That's why - I suspect - the lighting model is so good in 2.x. Lighting is scale-able. It continues to look good no matter how many assets you have to produce, without any additional effort. I can't speak to Sneak and Inv, since Yoshi-P has directly stated he doesn't like the idea of forced spell/item usage to access parts of the game. But what you are asking for is basically what will naturally happen over the course of FFXIV 2.x and greater's life. MMOs evolve organically to meet the needs of the players. 3.0 will almost certainly host a substantial rework of the job and class system - how substantial is still up in the air, but it will be noticeable I assure you. Even if it's just a level increase that introduce new spells and abilities that drastically change the way the job plays.

    That's exactly why I wouldn't play 1.xx again. It would be static, unchanging, boring. Even the best MMO in the world can be played out if it never evolves. Unless we are talking about a hypothetical situation where they supported both 1.x and 2.x+. In which case, I have no comment because it's a silly premise.

    I I agree with you hulan, but I also think that this is final fantasy the best of the best ,at least!..a medium graphical update would suffice. The snk and invisi mechanic just gives a little something to more hardcore players. Now don't me wrong I like final fantasy realm reborn but I have never played a mmorpg with such small zones. More bigger open world for exploration is a must. Cause I mean what is final fantasy online really know for. To me final fantasy is known for job classes, pve content, deep lore and open exploration with also mechanics either puzzle or boss fight.

    You can look forward to DX11 update for a graphic bump (probably not an insane bump, but a bump at least - Yoshida said water is a very noticeable change, I hope 3d water.. that'd be amazing~). I liked monsters having detection types, it really added a flavor to the game.. Sad they removed it. ;_;

    Not sure they can make huge open fields with the amount of objects they currently use (Coerthas is huge but has a countable amount of objects)- it's probably a balance between ps3 not being able to load an area too large and detailed or servers having too much stress if an area promotes too many players in a zone. ;( lol
