[Pole] Do you want to see the summoner class reworked?

- summoner is a pet class, the player damage output should be at least 90% from the pet.
- if we want to return it to summon based class then we should remove the DOT spells and hand it over to a new class lets call it shaman for instance and it should be under thaurmage obviously.
- summoner power should be in his abaility to use the appropriate pet in the appropriate time, so pets must have elemental damage output and ultimate abilities.
- summoner should be able to burst damage with pets, this could be with an ability like the 2hr spell in ffxi, while it should have a less side effect, e.g not crippling the summoner out of mana.
- egi should be replaced is minimized avatars.
- summoner's own skills should be centered around supporting the pet.
- SE can rework summoner without making it over powered,you can also let smn do nearly as good dps to blm with better identity.
I hope SE takes the above points into consideration.

Scholar is also attacted to Arcanist and thus the chances of SE reworking Arcanist from the ground up to appease a small group of Summoners is highly unlikely. People really need to keep that in mind when they are suggesting these sorts of radical changes.

Furthermore, the idea of a pet being 90% of a SMN's dps is absurd. Not only Would that be a balance nightmare, it is also going to likely cause groups to avoid Summoners for the simple fact that they have huge chunks of downtime if they or their pet ever die.

SE would just separate the Summoner from the Arcanist to rework it from the ground up as to not affect the Scholar. Summoner would branch off the Evoker with Arcanist as it's secondary class and Thaumaturge as the tertiary class.
-Summoner damage output 70% from the Pet and 30% from DoT and other spells
-Pets should have AoE, Crowd Control and High Bursts as well as Elemental abilities and Ultimate abilities
-The Pet should be Mini-Primals
-Summoner skills should be centered around the buffing, healing and supporting the Pet
-The Summoner support abilities should be like Summon Storms for Garuda, Searing Heat for Ifrit and, Summon Tremors for Titan, Summon Tsunami for Leviathan, Summon Thunderstorm for Ramuh and Summon Blizzard for Shiva

Why people always want to change things and are never please. Just adapt to what you are given, if you don't like it don't play that job and choose another. If you are emocionaly attach to that type of job because other games guess what, different games have the "same" jobs with a different way of playing it.

Players who already have a lvl 50 Summoner wouldn't have to level an Evoker since Square Enix would give them a lvl 50 Evoker.

SE cannot just snap their fingers and split Summoner off from Arcanist you do have at least enough of a grip on reality to understand that, right? I realize from this rambling, that you have no idea what balance is, and just want Summoner to be able to do every thing and OP as hell. It's not going to happen. You need to move on from that delusion it is completely unproductive to continuely bring it up.
