I actually fell asleep during Cape Westwind farm. Something about doing the same fight over and over just seems unbearable. Makes me miss atma. This is the answer to the RNG-hate I suppose.

Yeah... there's a reason I didn't do the Cape Westwind grind-fest. I think I would've stabbed myself.
Boring and no rewards? No thanks. I'd rather get my Nexus a bit slower and actually enjoy it.
(Atma)(Full attack!)
(Animus)(I'm tired.)
(Novus)(I'm tired.)(I'm sleepy.)
...
(Nexus)(No thanks.)
I refused to do such mindlessly, boring grindy contents. I used to do it but not anymore. They can't fool me anymore.
To get Atma, Animus, Novus & Nexus, all you need is time and most importantly RGN, nothing else. You don't need any skills at all, meaning not challenging, It's that fun for you?
Not me, I will stick with my High allagan weapon, and maybe do one expert duty roulette per day to get the lights.
I saw many people spent huge amounts of time on the hunt to get the sand, farm lights for Nexus, and yet they never did any coils. Full 110 soldiery equipments with Nexus, I don't understand that. What's the reason for that if you're not doing any endgame contents, so you can kill faster in Syrcus tower?
It seems people nowadays enjoy this kind of meaningless way to gear up. And don't even know why they're gearing up for.
Atma I had no trouble getting, unlike some people, I wasn't just doing the same fate over and over again because that was where the bonus was. I wasn't limited on playing a single job endlessly, so long as I had a Zenith equipped i was good. I also had a very transparent indicator of where I was in my progress.
I really don't know how people do it. I feel job locked, and while I enjoy war.. that makes me enjoy it less. Because anything I do that could give a light that I don't have War for, is a missed opportunity. But yeah as people have said.. perhaps my best course is just to not think about it.
I did PvP(and Moraby Dock Fates while I waited), also Garuda/Ramuh/Leviathan trials when the bonus windows were up. To me that was fun.
Don't grind it. When you aren't playing all you'll hear in your head is "NOWWWWW FAAAAAAAAAHHH-AHHH-AH-AH-AH-ALLLL"
I been doing Frontlines alot specially when it gives Blinding light, this way you get both light and pvp rank at the sametime but the only downside is extremely long ques. Tbh im kinda suprised that there are not many peoples doing their nexus in pvp, its easy and gives multiple benefits not just lights alone and its alot more enjoyable than spamming garuda/cape 24/7.
farming mog or titan with bonus is a good way to make some money beside and made nexus farming really enjoyfull
I made millions just by increasing my alc desynth and selling primal demis (which go for 200-250k ea on our server)
Daily expert roulette for alexandrite map -> Brilliant or Blinding
Daily alexandrite map -> Gentle
Daily trial roulette -> Gentle or Bright
The rest I keep queueing frontlines. I wanted to be rank 38 for glamours anyway, plus mount achievement. Also getting myth which I use on my blm Animus, could use it to sell myth gear for seals, mats to craft stuff or buying more alexandrite maps. You also get lots of Wolf Marks which you can buy gear (besides wearing it, which is fast to get), you can sell for seals, dysenthesis (high items, giving nice points for free and the items to buy are by choice!), and lots of Brilliant or Blinding lights. Doing that instead of farming other content over and over again (Frontlines is over and over again aswell, but every match is different at least) so I don't get burnt out on other stuff. And I'm at Intense stage, which is like 80%, only 2 steps to go. Also, you can do Frontlines on whatever class you want and switch to the class you want to receive lights on before the match ends, so you're not forced to play THAT class for everything when you like playing multiple classes.
