What soil do you guys normally use to grow Thavnarian onion ?

We are using G3 Shroud soil. Mainly because they are cheap but the main reason is that onions do not really cross into anything useful. Only thing we can get out is more Sylkis Seeds for the prestep, but when you get 4 times 9 seeds out of one patch you wont need those for weeks to come :/
