    That'll depend on the amount of experience needed per level more so than the actual amount of levels.

    It'll mainly be dependent of their long-term plans for the game. How many expansions do they want to introduce, what level do they want to attain at maximum. What figure sounds not too daunting for newer players who join in late? Back in the old days of MMO's games tended to cap out at 99, 120, 150, or even higher. For newer players this sounded like a steep climb to make, just to get to the fun. And games tended to be left aside.

    Just for that I wouldn't be surprised to see them go by increments of 5. Ensuring that e.g. 8 years from now the level cap is not much higher than 75 or 80.

    I knew 3.0 should have lv increase. I think, it could be increased to lv100.

    That's strange, how are summoners going to get all of their egis if we all only get one new ability? I know they said every class is being updated the same in terms of amounts of new skills and they probably don't want to give every job three or four (depending on if they would give a Mog-egi) new skills, but I personally think it'll slight summoners if for whatever reason they can't summon each of the primals as an egi. Though I think they did say summoners and scholars are getting the biggest changes when the expansion hits.

    I wonder too if they'll be increasing our player level to increase our base stats and to get new skills, yet gear will stay at level 50 and the ilv will just increase. It would let new players catch up quickly (which SE seems to favor) and even though it doesn't make sense, SE has made some... questionable development choices.

    I think I'd actually prefer it if the lvl cap stayed at 50, and the iLv just continued to increase. iLv pretty much accomplishes the same thing anyway.
    Long-term, it makes it easier for new players to get into the game and get to endgame without such a daunting amount of lvls to plow through.

    IMO, it was more difficult to lv up previously, then it added roulettes exp bonus and the log book for easier exp,
    I think upon lv cap raising, level to 50 would be much more easier than now.
    TBH I tho i-LV was the extension of char lv by design intentionally, but YoshiP said no. ^^;
