Its my job, so, yes i know what i am talking.By that logic, multiplayer gaming may just as well be abandoned completely. As due to numerous horrendous ISP's out there which aren't compatible with any form of multiplayer asides turn based gameplay there's little room left for the current catalogue of MMO's, FPS and RTS/MOBA multiplayer titles.
"It". And what may "it" in this matter be. Are you a network engineer? Are you a game developer oriented on server programming in an MMO environment? It may be anything.
On top of that, having a certain job and being knowledgeable on the subject do not always go hand in hand. And based on your previous comment, I'm inclined to say you may know less on the subject than you may believe to know yourself.
Look at your post again, you're saying because of an issue that Square Enix has barely any control over, they should have programmed the entire game differently from the get go. It's just so obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.
exactly thats the job of programming.
its like you try to bend physics and thats not possible, also we can go into detail and discuss about how you programm things.
And the main issue is not with the program, it's a networking issue that's not coming from Square Enix. That's what you aren't getting. I don't care if you're a programmer in real life because your comments are just making it obvious that your knowledge on the matter is little to non existent.
You arnt network engineer, are you? I doupt so!And the main issue is not with the program, it's a networking issue that's not coming from Square Enix. That's what you aren't getting. No I am not but it doesn't take a genius to understand that ISP issues, issues with the Nodes, routing issues are network related. Especially if you're a programmer like you said, that difference should be glaringly obvious which makes think you really aren't one. If you are though, I wouldn't want to be the guy that has to fix your code.
I live 1 hour away from Montreal. The province of Quebec is the second largest province in Canada and it actually as a huge playerbase in regards to MMO . The servers being in Montreal is actually a wise decision (until they decide to implement one over there which would be even better) considering the datacenter for Europe is located there as well. Don't talk about thing you don't know about.

fuck up champ
I live in Toronto, 300-400km from Montreal and lag like shit. I chalked it up to my connection and the ISP, but lone behold when I switch to any other game it does not lag. I don't want to point it at SE because it doesn't make sense, but then again it could be their ISP or datacenter causing it.I live 1 hour away from Montreal. So you are saying.. just because a small % of players don't have access to, or can't afford better connections, the game should have been built to accommodate that minority. That would make the game less fun for the majority who enjoy utilizing hand-eye coordination and have good connections. Which is a better business decision: please the masses -or- please the few?
I think you need to spend some time strengthening your cognitive function.
