But time cards are not as functional as they should be. they are straight up time, nothing more and do not account for different pay structures. (IE legacy, entry level, retainers, fantasia, etc)
You didnt think you could spend money that isnt yours without some kind of fee did you? How else do you think CC companies stay in buisness?

Here, the processing fee is paid by the business sellers, in this case - SE, not you.
As a consumer, unless you get a card with annual fee or minimal usage fee, you don't have to pay anything unless you keep an unpaid balance.
I pay my cards off at the end of the month, have yet paid AMEX/VISA/Discover anything extra other than foreign transaction fees, which is about 2.5~3%.
They stay in business by those processing fees from the merchants and collecting interest of unpaid balances.
Ok, fair enough. I misread the article and may have an incomplete idea of how charges work. I was pretty sure there was a transaction fee, I know my bank card has user fees at the end of each month. Regardless, I do not have a credit card nor do I want one. I would much rather spend my own money outright instead of the "stealing from peter to pay paul" money shuffle. Paypal is great for this as I can take money directly out of my bank account. It's a personal thing, I know if I had a credit card I would get into lots of trouble with it so the smart thing for me is to not get one. Thank you for respecting my choice. Here, the processing fee is paid by the business sellers, in this case - SE, not you.

"60 day time card" means it adds 60 days of play time so they work just like they suppose to.
On the back of a time card case it says
Monthly subscription rate may be lower for some customers using other payment methods other then GTC
Useless for legacy players as they only need to pay $20 for 2 months, or slightly less, I dunno if the bulk discount applies starting from 2 months. I know I only pay slightly less than $48 for 6 months.
Yes, legacies are entitled to pay less, this is also the correct usage of the word entitled too.

That's totally within your right to do, but there is an option for you to pay with using paypal you just don't want to because it's more expensive. What you should be asking for more specifically is a paypal option on the mogstation. And really you should have been asking for this 3 months ago when they announced that Ultimate game time cards were going away(it's been on the loadstone front page for that long)
It is more expensive, that's why even though it's indeed an option, it's a bad one for legacy people since there's nothing to gain and everything to lose by paying more, understandably people would not want it. I admit I didn't ask for a Paypal option to be added directly to the Mogstation before, though the OP posted a topic with another person asking for it. The most likely reason more people didn't ask for it in advance is because of this statement in your link. That's totally within your right to do, but there is an option for you to pay with using paypal you just don't want to because it's more expensive. Which would lead most people to believe they would have worked out something by now, yet nothing happened on the Mogstation, only game cards were added on a separate site that admittedly is still owned by them, but the Mogstation is supposed to be main page to manage ARR subscriptions and purchase game time. You'd think 3 months would be plenty of time to sort out something as important as this but apparently not. Yet again, this game loves throwing around the good old "please look forward to it" or "we'll be looking into it" so the expectations are already subpar. In light of this news, we are also working with payment providers to increase the number of payment solutions we can offer.
