Ok so I went to add crysta after seeing someone post on the forums that ultimate pay was no longer able to be used I went to my account and this is what I saw,




as you can see I have 1 crysta and my only way of paying is paypal, I'd love to see paypal as a option, now before anyone says "Get a prepaid credit card" it's too much of a hassle to get the billing address set up, I live in a rural area and the pre-paid time card isn't an option since it doesn't cover extra retainers or other additional services ,this doesn't just effect 14 it effects 11 as well, if you allow paypal on your site store why not allow it on mogstation/SE account management page? there are a lot of people with this issue as well, I'm seeing a lot of people having error 401, 406 ect. due to credit card issues in the tech. forums This is just one place why not add an option for paypal? my Wife and I would love to support this game, but we can't since we can't pay for our subs through paypal, that way we can pay for our subs and additional services such as fantasia and retainers ect.

See all those other options? It's not going to kill the game. there's still ways to pay for it. What will kill the game is design direction. That is more likely to kill it than, -gasp- having to use your credit card/debit card directly

So no..I don't see that paypal is your only way as I see the option on that picture also is credit card. Even while in SEA you had multiple options, so unless where you reside has literally nothing but paypal (I doubt it) you may need to look into the other options available to you.

The existence of other options only carries so much weight. This will be a deal-breaker for some people. Some will simply prioritize not having to pay with <insert method here> over being able to play the game. Some will consider this the last straw on top of other small annoyances.

It's not going to be enough people to kill the game by a long shot.

I think all the grumbling is justified, though. It's an annoyance to have options removed, and if SE can (feasibly) do something to make this segment of their market happy, it's kind of silly of them not to.

You can also purchase game-time cards, some physical and delivered, others are emailed digital codes.

There are plenty of options, they've changed payment systems a lot over the years, usually for good reason.

The time cards are a rip off unless you are just doing the standard account. Cause you end up paying the smae amount for 60 days regardless of if you have a standard accout, Legacy account, or entry level account. They need to fix that...

EDIT: Then I noticed that the awesome OP already quoted me from another thread. Thanks! My other account is legacy and I found it out after the fact. I'm going to contact support today and see if I can get something resolved.

A way to fix it would be if we can buy crystas with these cards instead of playtime.

they are doing it and are well aware of it otherwise they would be kind of bad managers of a business....so is by far at their advantage to offer some alternatives ...I think that if tehy would release some pre-paid cards it would help alot, they are hardly available or so hard to find that when you get the chance to find them you pay the whole lot (3 or 4) so that you knwo you can play for at least a year lol

PlaySpan has been removed not because SE does not like it, but because PlaySpan itself have shutted down its own Ultimate Card service.

That means, any and all games you were using that payment system, have withdraw it.

Sorry for you, but I guess you have to get the prepaid card if you want deal with all merchants that does not accept paypal.

Ok you obviously didn't read the whole post or dont know what Rural area means so here is the definition of it "Full Definition of RURAL

Know where to get a time card for retainers? .... no? ... ok or better yet fantaisia? ... still no? see there are things time cards don't cover.

Ultimate card service didn't effect paypal. so what is your point of your post?

I recently purchased two 60 day time card from the Square-Enix store. One I used on my son's account who is a standard level account and the other I used on my own account which is a Legacy account.

Just a heads up to anyone else, at the current time it DOES NOT take into account any difference between your account status, there is no credit for extra time, there is no reduced fee. I have not yet tried it on an entry level account but I fear even that would be the exact same price as all the rest using this digital time card system. Also not sure if this works the same for the physical time cards.

Hope they can get this fixed, either convert the extra credit to crysta or just do the math for how many extra days it would account for.

but the legacy players really gets the shaft with the pre-paid cards since the card doesn't recognize that the legacy members get a discount as stated in the quote above I'm not legacy but it's still messed up
