Have to agree there...
I wasn't paying much attention but it doesn't look like it was fair for the rest, not cool
I love the pose/gear/location. <3 Very unique.
~Quit moping, get hoping~
Vahn and Kin have both produced amazing shots after elimination....
We all get a bad week at some point (or bad hair day) Was truly sorry to see these 2 go, they were in my top 5 pics, at least 3 of my hopefuls are still in the running.
I agree with this, but Tinsley's shot and my shot should have never been accepted for the 80% rule and gone through for the round-
It was unfair to us as well~ :S So right now I'm assuming that Rongi saw both sides of it and made a judgement call.
I will gladly step out of the competition or be eliminated in place of the guy with lowest votes (or whatever!) if people are really upset about that call!

What's done is done but in the future, I'd steer pretty clear of doing this sort of thing MID VOTING. I'm sure as some models aided to the rules and it's possible they sent in screenshots that were much higher crystal count, just to meet the crystal % required (meaning a model could have had a different shot but choose not to submit it because of the ~80% that was mentioned in the email). A few slipped by, which are clearly not 80% but they were approved on the judges based on their evaluation which is fine, ultimately you have that call. But when the 'voters' are actually evaluating shots and have already clearly stated that Yunie's/Tinsley's was not picked because lack of crystal- and then the judges go and remove a text. While it may not be the case it leans towards judges bias towards certain contestants, because they were clearly not getting votes from some users (including myself) because of the statement that was posted. Voters should be voting on not just aesthetics but also what the models had to come up with under restraints. It's exactly what NTM does in many of their immunity/special prize rounds do.
TLDR; Rules really shouldn't be changed AFTER models have submitted their shots. Because that can drastically change the results of what pictures they submit.
Wow.. Did we really changed the rules after voting? I remember loosing votes one round because people weren't paying attention to the regulation of the shot, I had to buck up and take it with a grain of salt(I think i actually almost got eliminated for it too). That seems a tad unfair move to change now. Not trying to sound like a biootch or anything about it it's just I remember cringing and seeing Ronji post about how though my shots were great that one weak picture looked like id be eliminated that round. I skirted by by my teeth and tried harder after that. All in all id have to say that was a bad move to change and unfair to the people who did follow the specific regulations on our photo shoot list and the part where it tells us to read and reread the rules to each shot.
So in this case, Ciara has been pretty strong, but maybe this picture might send her home. It sucks for her, and her fans, but the only thing I can say is Eorzea's Next Top Model, the person not the contest, has to have a strong photo every round or risk elimination. It's okay to have the second weakest photo, but if you have the weakest, in the eyes of the voters and judges, there is nothing your past pictures can do to save you. This is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.
Perhaps we got slightly different emails but mine said:
Round 10 – Crystal Shot – I loved the way the pictures from Cycle 1 turned out, and I want to bring it back for Cycle 2. For this shoot, please take a picture with the background being at least 80% crystal! For reference, look at the pictures from Cycle 1 (Crystal Make Overs http://m.imgur.com/a/eLXUD) There are many locations in Eorzea with Crystals for you to use. They can be any color, as can your gear! Time of day/Location/Weather are all up to you!

Simple fixes
1. allow people with 1 post to count for their votes...not everyone is a forum troll and choose to post in threads that are negative...there is a lot of them here, maybe some people enjoy these kind of thread types only...
2. Drop % of such and such needing to be in the picture...so long as the theme is expressed then that is the end of it.
3. Add in a save per cycle as I mentioned earlier (this is an actual thing on SyFy Face/Off) and no it wont show favoritism it will show that people have bad weeks in real life or something that prevent getting that all epic shot in, or maybe the wrong shot was used instead...it just boggles the mind how we can go 4 or 5 shots in a row with a person near top each time and suddenly have like 3 votes, for the 6th shot or something..its obvious something went wrong that week for the person.
4. I also humbly suggest a break before the next cycle...it seems (from what I am seeing of this current round specifically) is people are burned out on not only the voting but also choosing how to implement said votes, Ninja is right around the corner as well, so why not take a step back let everyone including judges breath and start it back like first week of November?
5. Last one, I humbly ask people to take some actual time on voting, I am seeing a lot of names tossed down every week just because (this is what it feels like this cycle) What I do for my approach is I remove the person with my handy dandy awesome trying to stay in the lines paint shop cutting tool, and look at the photo itself, than compare to what the person is doing in the photo and see how they add or take away from it. It takes about 30 minutes for me to get through 6 photos, but the 6 are the ones I think have what it needs to begin with.
that's all.
one more damn thing
This Round, it's Throw Back Thursday! Our models posed with Crystals as their background, just like in Cycle 1!
Crystal color, gear color, time of day, location, and weather were all the models choice!
That was the rules for this round so for anyone saying I voted for you because you followed the rules while the others didn't....please stop it, all 6 models used the rules as stated right above. Is there crystals> check, model > check , gear color > check, time of day > check, location/weather > check

That's really impressive that you do that. But I don't think you can really ask the majority of voters to do something akin to that. It's not like we're handing them a syllabus with criteria that needs to be met other than the theme of the week. If people want to vote on the overall impression at first glance matching the theme, they should be able to do so. If they want to spend an hour going through them and analyzing different aspects, then that's awesome too.5. This is supposed to be a casual screenshot contest. And I'm afraid we'll be taking ourselves too seriously otherwise. But that's my impression as a contestant, I suppose. There's nothing to gain other than a title and, hopefully, some fun. There's not really a way to judge the 'quality' of the votes since your opinion of the pictures may be vastly different to someone else, etc.
To be completely fair, what you're reading is the changed theme. The original prompt which was included in the original post and email to the contestants said 80%.This Round, it's Throw Back Thursday! Our models posed with Crystals as their background, just like in Cycle 1!
Crystal color, gear color, time of day, location, and weather were all the models choice!

Now, I don't really care whether the background was 40%, 50%, etc. I also don't want anyone to drop from the competition because of it. But it does bring up a good point about being careful not to change rules on the fly.
I hear you on this as well. I definitely don't want photos to be disqualified at this point for it or models to step out because it.

Very true on that count, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, never judge a book by its cover...oh nvm.
The reason I stated this last one is because once again I feel people are jumping before looking (and only Kirk is allowed to do that) when it comes to votes for these photos. Btw I was almost counted you this round, it was damn close, but Jayzan had that really silly grin...
It's np! I love all the photos this round. And like I said earlier, it's very impressive that you cut models out to look at things too.Very true on that count, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, never judge a book by its cover...oh nvm.
