That actually makes sense and the fact that a bottleneck/bad nodes being near it only that more annoying. Its like the Syndicate and no Aethyrite in Vesper Bay...It is not so much merely cost, it's mainly a matter of efficiency and durability. Climate temperatures in Canada and Scandinavia are better for server farms than e.g. the more traditional west and east coast locations. Consequently more and more server farms are starting to be set up in those locations. The lower ambient temperatures require less active cooling requirement and at same operating expenses allow for operating at lower temperatures which significantly increases hardware lifespan.
Okay then. that's what I'll do. I'll tell you a story. Can you hear them? All these people who lived in terror of you and your judgement. All these people who's ancestors devoted themselves to you, sacrificed themselves to you. Can you hear them singing?
Never had any kind of lag or latency issues and I'm playing from the EU on US servers.
So yes, your internet is bad, don't blame SE for your bad choice of provider.
Did you seriously not read anything...and I mean anything else in this thread? Like, as of 2 pages ago? What is happening on this thread is OP blaming SE, the others in here blame OP when in fact there are three options. It may be OP's fault, SE's fault or even both. However everyone just picks one option blindly and sticks to it with a passion. Yes there is a chance it might be SE problem, completely ignoring it is ridiculous especially when we know about this game server infrastructure.
I leave for 12 hours and it turns into this. We were making progress people, and you backtrack like this. We have proof of where the problem lies. It's the CDN's in the U.S., not SE. Some CDN's are owned by ISP's, so it would be those ISP's fault. I have had Verizon confess to me that they know this is an issue, but choose not to do anything about it. The most SE can do is contact an ISP and tell them to fix it, but at the end of the day it's the US's crap infrastructure, and the refusal to take the blame. Server location doesn't matter as long as the connection is solid. Why do you think you can connect to a Japanese server and have no lag? Because of the different path you take.
People should no better than to post anything that talks against SE, the game or the connection. Will you guys never learn?

Oh no, I feel it's approach.....

Did you even read the thread? Do you even know what white knighting is? I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer to both of those questions is a resounding "no".
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Considering it was used in the wrong context and continued to ignore evidence I'd have to say yes.
This is fact based stuff here. Not people blindly protecting SE. SE has mad many mistakes, but this is not one of them.
To make a point, I actually DO move quite pre-emptively to avoid AoEs like plumes etc, otherwise I'll definitely get hit by it if I move at the same time as say when the cast bar starts. I play on roughly 300ms ping (Australia to NA servers), and while I'm not sure how much that correlates to this subject, I find myself moving close to a second before the WotL cast bar shows up. And usually the AoE under me is in the same position as I was when I was still. As moving pre-emptively on titan plumes means you'll be dropping the plume on another area than your fellow group players. Greatly increasing the odds of wiping. Much rather you want to stay stacked and on the moment the plumes appear, respond. There's no need to be hit there, even whilst playing from the other end of the ocean. Yes, as you move other players will be moving behind. But it doesn't matter. Them moving behind does not impact your success rate.
It's just something I'm used to, haha. I once showed a NA friend a vid of how things seemed on my side of the world. His response, "It's a surprise you can actually keep up with us with that lag...I know I wouldn't be able to."
Isn't it your ISP's fault?
See you in 2.4!Ever since the update at the beginning of the year, the lag has been getting worse and worse. to the point that i cant even play at night. the fact that i need to pay for another program such as WTFast to resolve the issue is an insult. so ya, thanks SE for the remake of a beautiful game that started great, but now is garbage in my eyes.
Take care!
