eh i still find it rude. that she was kicked for simply watching a CS. That alone SCREAMS WoW mentality......ive been on FF11 and FF14 1.0 and never encountered such pettiness....

Use the Party Finder if you want content to be run a specific method. Get over it.

Since your trying to be vague and smart at the same time... yes you can. But only for 2 DRs. If people wish to farm myth or gil there are many different ways to do it, if they're so bored of CM and Prae. why punish yourselves so much then? Why do something that isn't fun or really all that efficient? I thought playing a "game" was supposed to be fun. Even by their own personal standards, if doing DR Story is so bad, why do it then?

Most cutscenes are lame/repetitive and they can always be watched at inn room. On my first runs of story dungeons I skipped most cutscenes simply because they all were same.
About why people don't wait for new players that watch cutscenes and leave them behind - why the hell should I wait for someone to watch cutscenes that take more than half an hour together?! "I am new player" doesn't mean I must waste my time waiting till you watch your movie - I just want to beat the dungeon and get my roulette reward.

The only wrong thing in this is actually kicking people that watch cutscenes because all 8 man story dungeons can be cleared with 4 if not less people now.

My apologies then, but it doesn't take much to look up what has been added. Yes you can que up with people for DR Expert and High. But everything else is still solo que.

Well why should new players speed up just for you? What just because your a veteran and you personally didn't want to watch CS's in the actual dungeon? Why should you get priority over the dungeon? You're no more special than new players. DF is a place for all players of different agendas. No one person is correct in this situation, which is why it usually goes to "majority rules" according to SE's last comments on the subject.

Also this is an MMORPG some of us come here for the story. It's one of the main reasons I personally play this game at all.

CS should be, in my opinion, first one at the quest, and after, at the end of the donjon (so who care ? just wait if you want the loot)
At the begining of a donjon, every time, it may be annoying after a moment.

But that's not a reason to kick them, I mean, it's how the game is design we need to blame, not the gamers.

The only cutscenes which can be viewed are the ones at the beginning and at the end of the dungeon. For places like Praetorium or Castrum Meridianum where there are cutscenes DURING the actual dungeon, those cutscenes can only be viewed from inside the dungeon itself.

So no, not all can be watched in the Inn.

It was possible to kick in 1.0, and I do agree that the mentality is just childish and careless when the community expanded.

Duty Finder was meant for people to 'find and complete their duty with other people requiring the duty while not being bound to the character's server population'. New people who haven't made a lot of friends yet and are shy on making some will most likely do duty finders. They will probably try to que solo since it's the easy thing to do. Guess what, Duty Finder is also your 'welcoming card' for the community. Getting kicked as a 'new, excited adventurer' that wants to get 'emersed into the story'... well, the community is gonna look real vile and nasty for being impatient and unwelcoming with vote kicking over cutscenes.

If you want 'organized' (read party finder) 'speedruns' (read experienced, serious play with high level gear, which is an option in party finder) then you should probably try to compile a party in party finder.
