I remember seeing 4 dead players in that area a while back. I rezzed them but they never accepted and I just assumed they were AFK. Guess I didn't know I was trying to rez a bot. Whoops!
It's quite a big middle finger to us who wish to experience the game how it is presented to us. I feel really let down when I can easily spot a gil buyer and SE "can't" when they then happily say how they scanned every person on a server to come up with housing prices.

++++++++
It was even more of a slap in the face when they said that housing was so restrictive and expensive /due/ to RMT activity. If RMT is harming your game in a way that stops you from presenting well-wanted features to the legitimate playing community, something is fishy.

We have a group on Cactuar in a FC "111111" they've been reported so many times by various people on the server. Square-Enix simply does not handle bots no matter what they say. I reported them over a month ago myself and I could go to E. Thanalan right now and they'd still be there standing in the same spot with Shadow Flare up using their Ifrit-Egis and chocobos to kill monsters while spamming ruin.

SE owns the bots obviously
The same group of bots is on Diabolos with a different number for their FC (active since 2013!) and since they're located right next to the Ixali beast tribe quests they're even more visible and frustrating to the player base.
On a completely unrelated note, it would be interesting if someone who was more into the 'role playing' aspect of the game decided they wanted to spend some time hanging out in that part of the woods and to broadcast their roleplaying experience for others with the same interests to watch live. If by some unfortunate and unavoidable coincidence the end result was the bots were right behind them in the live broadcast (they don't own that fountain after all, any player can hang out there)... well that's certian not anything I'd encourage doing.
