I thought we're talking about T5? Are you speaking for the people who have not cleared T5 or for yourself?

Do people actually read OP before blindly bashing about how lazy (or stuff) other people are ?

IThe release should be as follow :

=> new raid, normal difficulty and all
=> 3 month after, at next patch, the story mode opens for those who did not manage to win the last part of the raid. Winning a story floor does not allow to enter a "normal" floor after. As an example, T6 story mode would not unlock T7 normal mode but only T7 story mode.

=> 3 month after, new raid. The story mode of the old raid doesn't grant access to the new one. As an example, T9 story mode doesn't grant access to T10 normal mode. You'll have to wait 3 month to get the T10-... in story mode to progress in the story.

I'm completely serious. It has less to do with skill and more to do with perseverance. The fact of the matter is that the story you want to experience is locked behind content that has already had both developer-implemented nerfs (Echo buff) and natural nerfs (increases in strength of gear). The amount of effort required is ridiculously minuscule compared to what it used to require. If people are not willing to put in effort, they don't get rewards.

First, both games are totally irrelevant. Someone good at LoL might be the worst FFxiv player you would ever see, or the contrary. You cannot compare 2 games like that ("oh this guy there is good at that game so you suck for not being good at this one"). Second, them being disabled has nothing to do with their skill. Yeah they're good even when disabled. So what ? Am I not allowed to play because I can't achieve their level of skill without being disabled at all ? That sounds stupid. It is stupid.
Finally, you could take any example of players, it would not be relevant.

It all resumes to this :

"Hey this guy can do i, so should you."

No. Hell, I'm sure there is even some deaf people who would beat the crap out of me at musical games even though I have a clear advantage on paper. Does it mean I am lazy for not having their skill ?

Yet I am asking for a story mode not for me (on T5 at least), but for all those players who don't have my luck/partners (they all scattered a few days after that kill) or even skill (for what I'm worth).

T9's still under lock out and i remember seeing t5 buys going for a lot more than 700k (and i doubt the price difference is that large between legacies), so I'm not sure why t9 costing 35 mil right now is any relevant, unless it's personally relevant to you.

I'll guess (and I sure hope I'm wrong) that you quoted me for the sake of countering rather than to add anything relevant. I'll do it again here :

what the thread (you can read it in OP) is about is adding story mode to allow anyone to have access to relevant storyline gated behind the coil. This, for the moment, would apply to T1-5 because... well, T6-9 are still relevant so no point I guess.

Once these aren't relevant anymore (in one month, and maybe a few more time, so around 2.45 (?) to allow the echo farm to decrease a bit), give a story version of them so that people may enjoy the 2nd part of the story in 3 parts.

Then once T10-14ish is no longer relevant, do it story mode to see the end.


Now on the comment you quoted : Some people were assuming I was trolling because I had beaten T5 and "asked for hand out T5 version", which was both a bad guess and a total misunderstanding of the OP. So I answered on the specific T5 to answer them. It is irrelevant to OP beside the point that I wouldn't need a story mode on T5 for myself.

As for the cost of a T9 merc run, I was merely answering to someone "offering" merc services for the story. I have no opinion on merc runs, but they shouldn't be the only option for story. 700k for T5's story (as the example given) already sounds stupid. The T9 example was only to show how stupid it sounds to buy a merc run for the story considering the stupidly high prices for the game's economy.
I couldn't care less about merc prices now or in 1 year for current content. I do not depend on them to go on.

Not trolling. You asked in the original post, and I quote "[For] a version of the coil which would only serves the purpose of giving the story to players." You didn't ask to experience the story, so I "gave" you the cut scenes to feed you the story like you wanted. I don't see how I'm wrong. You received exactly what you asked for.

In regards to the reference Adamant made about the player on LoL, his point was that with enough effort anyone can achieve their goal. But I guess that went right past you and you saw it as a game comparison and needing to be disabled to get anywhere...I won't ask how you came to that conclusion...but I'll let you be.
