Right... the other day I had a guy asking me why I didn't use this and that in my dragoon... my answer was: Because I'd rather sacrifice some DPS than land on my face every 5 secs. F*** all those "uber" rotations that give 0.00001% more dps. I'm not a min/max tard, I leave all that crap to the elitist crowd.

Get surges going + blood and after the jumps hit all the defense skills + hp recovery. If you're too busy trying to squeeze out that 0.00000000001% dmg instead of staying alive, you suck anyway. The time you spend dead takes away a lot more DPS than not getting out that stupid nano % of dmg.

There also exist myriad ways to deal full damage while surviving. There are only very few instances where you actually have to sacrifice dps for the sake of survival. One example in titan HM is during line bombs. If the 2nd line drops on the tank+titan you can actually stick on titan and dodge from the 2nd line, just need to know the timing.

How do you recommend getting out of the way when you have already jumped? That's why I said when learning the fight. Now I know when landslides and weights are coming and don't jump until it's safe.

After you have jumped, tough... done that myself while learning fights. And even after learning fights, if something shifts just one second, it screws things up... bad positioning of the monster by the tank can screw things up, lag can screw things up. Lag... I can tell you a thing or two on how lag screwed up my rotations and I suddenly end up doing the same skill 2 or 3x instead of the rotation.



My point is that in certain situations, I prefer to break rotation and make less DPS for a few seconds than spend 30 seconds on the floor dead and contributing nothing at all to the fight. I see that a lot in ST when I break rotations to get away from AOE's and other dragoons (and other DPS in general actually) just faceplant on the floor because *rotations*. I personally see nothing useful about being dead... unless there's some uber DPS skill that you get when you're dead that I'm not aware of.

and I think the big killer is getting greedy with dps.

I admit, I do find it hard to take myself from the boss when I'm fully buffed with B4B and surge and about to do that sexy 1.6k fullthrust......the mind shrinks and suddenly you rather see a big number than avoid that one shot aoe ><

Also lvl 3 LB animation lock is another rapist.

Btw, drgs are fine at ramuh Ex @ whoever made that point.sux when u have arbiter agro ofc since u can't do positionals, but that's hardly even a a dps check nowadays.

I love playing dragoon ddspite the mny times I have died its a fun class. Besides I been.in a titan.ex run.where.we wiped 7 times and out of those 7 tims I was always the last one alive

And OP aren't those screenshots you are posting your character? Lol
