Nobuo has nothing to do with the ARR OST. Their reasoning behind it is that they feel the ambient sounds are better.
Totally agree. Furthermore I have no idea what "ambient sounds" these apparently are. When I'm gathering for over an hour in a desert listening to nothing but a hatchet slash over and over and over there is no ambience in that whatsoever, its just annoying.

Or the random moaning Male Miqote guy...
"Uwahh!"
I dunno it sounds like it'll come from a male Miqote...
Perhaps a flock of female Miqote's tackled him...or other guy Miqote's.
And he does that, thus the laughing Lalafell being mad as he was talking
with Miqote senpai then went "Haha, haha heeeyyy!" cos they interrupted their discussions of
whatever. When I think about it this way, it's not so bad anymore lol.

Without music in this game SE is only achiving most of us to move the general volume slider all the way down and to listen to the soundtrack that should be in here in the first place in other aplications or websites. Brilliant.
Gathering and Emoji sounds are not ambient sounds.

I would LOVE looping tracks. The music really adds to the personality of each zone and makes the world feel unique. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love ambient sounds but having this option would be really great.

I've been playing the FF14 field songs in Curtain Call so many times because the music is just that great. I don't like that it stops in this game.

Looping tracks would be nice, if they were longer pieces. While I do love hearing the Black Shroud tune when I run around, I doubt I would be able to cope with it constantly looped (it's what, about 1.20 long?).
At this point, I'd just settle for music in zones during night-time, to be honest.

Yeah, looping the music would be fantastic. Also, being able to override the chocobo music. I like chocobos as much as the next guy, but I feel like its the only music I hear anymore.
