    Dear Yoshida, please reconsider your stance on looping field music.

    I really enjoy the music in this game but it makes me very sad that the field tracks only play for 1-2 minutes and then it is dead silent for ages.

    I know the developers feel that ambient sound is more important than music but a lot of players disagree. Take FF XI for example, I feel the music really added a sense of personality to each zone, every time I hear the Gusterberg music now I get all nostalgic. I want to feel like that with XIV too.

    FF is well known for its beautiful music and I'd like to enjoy it as much as possible. Looping music in dungeons was a huge improvement but the silence out in the field is so depressing.

    Please allow the players to decide for themselves which is more important, ambient sound or music. Please give us the option to loop music.

    What was his stance? I can not see a reason to not allow at least looping, programatically it is trivial.

    Yoshi has been saying since beta that they don't want it to loop and it was not made to loop, because they put so much effort into the ambient sounds.

    TBH, I haven't heard any ambient sounds while running around. It's mostly silent. I've been playing XI in the down time, and in that game you can damn well hear it. Large open areas would have howling winds, and the sea side you could hear the waters hit the shore. Either XIV's ambient noises don't have the same... "power" or the default noise is set way too low.

    Adjust your volume settings. If you've got ambient sounds set high you can hear so many things! scurrying animals in the forest, booming thunder claps, howling winds, cawing seagulls, screeching hawks, ocean waves crashing against the shore, the humming sound of aetheryte crystals, the list is endless!

    The only thing I wish they would do is separate large crowd sounds from the environment sounds, or at least make them a little less loud. If you have the ambient sound set high and run into a crowded area it's like someone turned the volume up 50%.

    They should make it an option atleast.. some people like looping music (I dont personaly but I understand some people do) and it definitly should be in the game as an option

    LOL. This a thousand times. And yeah, on the rare occasion I actually listen to the game's sound I did find the music dying out kind of disappointing. Looping it would be a nice option to have.

    I dunno it sounds like it'll come from a male Miqote...
    Perhaps a flock of female Miqote's tackled him...or other guy Miqote's.
    And he does that, thus the laughing Lalafell being mad as he was talking
    with Miqote senpai then went "Haha, haha heeeyyy!" cos they interrupted their discussions of
    whatever. When I think about it this way, it's not so bad anymore lol.
