    But that still leaves the question, why wouldn't a certain leve not show by the levequest guy?

    for all battlecraft, fieldcraft, mastercraft (or whatever crafter leves are called) it is so that if you complete all the, for example, level 10 leves - same levemete will give you 1-2 different leves of level 10. As I remember many leves from books didn't show up on levemete's list until you completed other leves of same level.
