Is this game slowly dying?

Is this game still worth investing time in?
Will the population inevitably reduce to something like aion?
I really do not want to invest in it if it is just going to die later..
Because when I commit, I go all the way.

Please, any insight will be greatly appreciated.

No, it isn't dying. People are just waiting for content. Wait until Patch 2.4, finish it in a week, wait until 2.5. Otherwise, join the relic bandwagon and farm atmas and gil forever.

Aion died? I thought it was only Aion EU that was struggling. NA was fine last time I played.

This game goes through periods of extreme lull and boom from what I can tell.

Beginning of any major patch (2.1, 2.2, etc.) major activity, people rushing to do everything, party finders everywhere.
Middle of any patch, still some activity, things have largely died down at this point
Near end of any patch (End of cycle) almost total ghost town, people largely logging in to do dailies/hit caps/do Coil and then log out again. Doom threads start appearing on the forums.
