Summoners real problem is it's burst. That and the fact that I can just drop a pet on 1 healer, and leave him auto attack and watch him control the healer via cast interrupt. Not really sure why a range class has so much burst capability, instant cast chain bursts at that. Very little setup needed too. Once you get off 1 hardcast, you're pretty much guaranteed to dot up 50% at least of your enemies.

It's quite sad when the populous think SMN has the best burst in PvP, i'm afraid they have nice burst but it will never trump a BLM burst; Depending on Procs of rng. SMN'er (Bio II, Miasma, Bio- Fester. Rouse/Spur. Enkindle/ Wither/Aetheric Burst & simultaneously applying dots sure creates massive pressure. But I would have to say BLM trumps SMNer burst hands down. BLM. with relatively LOW CD's FIre III/ fire (RNG Proc Firestarter Fire III) Phantom Dart- Swiftcast "Flare" Aetheric Burst if not finished- Move to Next target Rinse repeat Fire III to Fire until prof (Cancel Christmas My friends). BLM's are much more powerful than SMN'er in PvP. Their Pet AI is just down right idiotic.

Fyi SMN pets cannot interrupt other than Garuda's knockback or Ifrit stun. Pets are joke to healers atleast to me they are.

P.S SMN- Burst interval is very long other than Fester combo's

P.S BLM if wanted Fire III- Flare- Convert- Flare- Mana Draw- Flare. I think that sums it up.
