    The issue I'm mainly having with them not giving us a release date this "close" to 2.4/October is...

    ...them taking longer for it and it not actually releasing in October.

    Well, this is sort of why they probably aren't setting a date yet. It depends on the results of testing at this point, so it can probably be shifted up or down a bit. Better to not say a date unless they're pretty sure to hit it. But they did say that it'd be after the seasonal event starts, so probably looking like late-October.
