I have been getting this error a lot as well. I just switched from ps3 to Ps4 version about a week ago. The first time I logged in it was fine. Ever since then I get daily error 2002 and 90000. Sometimes takes an hour to even get in to do anything. I never had an issue with my ps3 version using the digital version on that system as well as the one now. I also notice really bad lag. (Example: tried to fight Garuda hard mode last night. Every one pauses but I can still move and attack. Suddenly its like the game plays catch up and messes up everything.) Same with dungeons. I bought the ps4 version to help with lag mainly for raids not make it even worse. I really love this game, first mmo I have actually found worth paying subscription fees. But right now I really just want to continue on with my story in Eorzea. But that is very hard atm with constant interruptions and issues.

Your not the only one havin the issue... I bought the ps4 for the same reason Kxamtxon... At least u can log into the game. I get to the character creation page and NONE of my characters load and about 10 seconds later i get a 2002 "lobby error code" and get booted... Like wtf? i bought a ps4 verson of ffxiv thinking maybe that'll help, welp i got a bran new account... can make a char... but i can get into my OLD one because it boots me... I get a blank page where the characters SHOULD be with nothing but exit button...

I just bought the game for ps3 yesterday 9/19/14 and after the 8 gigs i had to dl 2 times because it took for ever and when i try to log into my old account from pc, on the ps3 it just hits me with error 2002 every single time i try to log on from the server select screen. i forwarded all the ports i needed too and it still doing it. makes me feel like i just burned $27.99 including tax at gamestop. This is so disappointing and infuriating.

It happend to me after i switched to ps4, i even bought a 6 month sub thinking " ok yay new upgrade lets go" I was 2002'd and 90k'd so often i was forced of the game. in my 6 month sub i played for maybe a month. anything else was unplayable. iv'e since canceled my sub. and i won't re-sub until this has been fixed. they took my money and they won't do it again.

omg!!! i wish i would have read this before.. all my friend switch to ps4 with no problem, me on the other hand...
I switch ps3 >>> ps4 bout 2weeks ago. being trying to play for the last week, crazy lag and 90k nightmare all over again. had some error also going on but didnt pay attention bc after a few tries it would let me go on, to a wonderful heaven of lags and 90k ;.;
Today, i cant even get the lags and the 90k.. this 2002 dont let me log on.
Where do i go to place a ticket? i pay 3 month in auto pay, my next 3 just went in.
are you (SE) rrally working on this? any update to your customers?

I too wish I would have read this forum before. I just decided to come back to the game and now can't even get past start screen because of 2002. I sent support an email and will be following up with a call. Hope they credit us back for lost time.
