If they relinquish the the land though, people still have to pay the price to buy the land itself... So really, if I bought a plot for 3M, and wanted to gain anything all from it, the person buying would have to be willing to pay over double what the plot is worth just for me to actually gain any profit off of it.....You pay the person to relinquish the land, and then they let it go, goes up for sale and you buy it. If a house is on it, from what I understand No. But Plots, yes.
And I called it a plot license but basically yes, running up and clicking t he sign to buy it now puts the house under your name.. so basically you hold the license.
Thats what people are doing... making people pay them to relinquish the property. They even had it up in party finder, that you could buy it from them and to message them if you were interested. If they relinquish the the land though, people still have to pay the price to buy the land itself... So say you but it for 3 mil. Then say 'Hey I will sell this for 10 mil' they pay you 10 mil, then you relinquish the plot and then they buy it for 3 mil. So int he end you would get 10 mil, and they would spend 13 mil, or whatever.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
That wasn't the major point hence the star * which said doing that could be very dangerous. But the time to do a daily roulette vs other methods, daily isn't that profitable.
Certainly pays for teleports and repairs though. The main post of that (which took 98% of the body) was that if you work just within SE's gil circle then the housing prices are pretty wild, taking months just to get the smallest house. While if you work the market you could get that amount of money in a few days (lets say a week to be on the safe side).
The main point was I don't think SE should have chosen the methods of acquisition quite like they did.

Yes, they are. Now are people buy them? I don't know, but yes people are doing it if someone is willing to pay it.

This is what i am thinking about too when i resub, i already removed my automatic renewal. so tired of SE telling us one thing, and doing something completely different. the only thing they held up on what they said is the continuation of the relic weapons, that it would take a little while before anyone completes them=And this has nothing to do with 'boohoo I wanted a house and you do this' it has to do with the fact that SE tends to say things, then changes their minds. Makes promises and then either changes their minds or makes up some excuse. Where is my Musketeer (1.0), or as it was recently was called 'gunner', class that was promised? Or was that mistranslated too?
Oh I unsubbed for a lot of reasons, not just the housing. This entire patch has been pretty bad over all except for the few quests that were added. They failed to recognize that the mid-core and casual audience want to see the story of coil as well, they didn't fix the lockout problem with coil and are stuck in think tank mode on that, they botched housing, and I have no clue what they were thinking with setting the difficulties so high on ramuh extreme and coil t6-t9. Nobody wants to grind 10+ hours a week on learning attempts to old school bash through content anymore except for a select few. Heck, even those select groups that do want to do that could easily have been satisfied with Savage Coil and unique rewards. This is what i am thinking about too when i resub, i already removed my automatic renewal. so tired of SE telling us one thing, and doing something completely different. the only thing they held up on what they said is the continuation of the relic weapons, that it would take a little while before anyone completes them=
I've been getting to that point also with wanting to unsub. My husband has already stopped his automatic renewal as of today. People in my ls have either stopped their sub or are playing very casually and haven't come on much. For me: it about the lying, SE keeping so quiet on upcoming patches, housing being a big disappointment (because for me, it was the one thing I was really looking forward to for the longest time), being locked out of coils until I can DF solo flag it (don't have time for statics and the one's I have had in the past have all fallen apart), and just down right paying for a game and feeling like I'm locked out of content when I shouldn't be. I could go to a FTP game and play all it content and yet I'm paying for this one and can't even enjoy the most simple of things like housing. And when the word "limited" comes out- you get this feeling that any content in the future is going to end up the same way.Oh I unsubbed for a lot of reasons, not just the housing. In the end I also tend to feel like our voices don't even matter. As long as they are getting paid by enough people, they are fine with the way things are. Since this patch dropped, we've heard from Yoshi who told us, "2.4 we are doubling the wards." which won't fix the issue at all with housing. Not that I believe there much they can do other than upgrade the servers themselves so that everyone can enjoy content.
