I remember back when they announced the Housing system of FF14ARR the original plan was to make Perks between FC Housing and Personal Housing Different from each other through a Tower System.

Towers were originally meant to be house items placed in Housing that would have provided a certain buff depending if it was a FC House or a Personal House. For example, one of the original Tower Perks for FC Housing was More EXP for DoH crafters that would craft in the FC Housing Area while a perk unique to Personal House was Stat Bonuses such as a Tower placed in Personal Housing would provide bonus STR to the character who owns the Personal House.

The House Size also was going to determine how many Towers can be placed in the Housing area with small allowing the lowest amount of Towers and Mansion allowing the greatest amount of Towers.

I don't know happened to this plan but looked like they may have scrap the Tower system for Housing.

Yeah I remember that, and I thought that meant we'd get our own zone or significant land areas (like Age of Conan or something, please don't copy everything from that game though..... lol).

Towers, houses, all that sounded like a great big awesome housing system. I was hoping for docks and and other full sized constructions, nearing an actual town if you had the group effort for it (otherwise just having a really cute village). I was talking about docks back then thinking we could do that, thinking about that and the system we have now and I just laugh - a tower? Not going to happen, any other cool large feature? Sure to not happen lol.

I am actually worried that if there were too many house easily accessible the FCs would all be destroyed. I rather keep personal housing hard to get so the FC will be favored. That is my fear.

yeah, it's like don't give an alliance option for 1 year and don't make any content for massive group (remember "massive" the first M in MMORPG) was not a good idea and the basic group for players should be a guild (called here Free company) and not a group of 8 persons who can enter in the only HL instance 1 time/week >.>

This was said at NicoNico Super Meeting 3, same info but it was 'mistranslated' by Famitsu as well? This is ridiculous. Sounds more so to me, they changed their minds and are now trying to cover up what was said by claiming it is a mistake. I don't see how a Japanese magazine could also mistranslate was Yoshi said.

This is a shame, a big shame... One thing I was really excited about, had saved up gil for and have a full set of furniture that I've made sitting on my retainer taking up room and this happens? I'll have to consider if I want to re-sub when my time is up.

And this has nothing to do with 'boohoo I wanted a house and you do this' it has to do with the fact that SE tends to say things, then changes their minds. Makes promises and then either changes their minds or makes up some excuse. Where is my Musketeer (1.0), or as it was recently was called 'gunner', class that was promised? Or was that mistranslated too?

Yeah, I don't think anyone expected this to happen with personal housing. 9 months and it's just FC housing rich individuals can buy, without needing a solo FC.

That one's a bit of a mistranslation in the English rendition. It says （個人向けの家の）価格は85万ギルくらいではきびしそう。 This is more like "Having individual housing priced around 850k gil would be tough." (Meaning, in a sort of indirect way, that it's unlikely.) The next sentence does go on to say that "But we don't plan to have it be as high as free company housing." In the latest message from Yoshida, though, he says that they considered if it should be cheaper, but decided based on the numbers today that it was the right starting price, with the aggressive depreciation. This may have had partly to do with the limited supply, though.

Why are people allowed to own more than one house at this point? Why are people allowed to resell those houses for 3-4 times the amount at this point? Why should FC and single players have to fight over the same lots, that's not fair to either side.

Mistranslated or not, it would have been better the other way that was mistranslated. Areas for Personal housing, set at a reasonable price. I can get a private room for 350k. Only thing I'm getting with a house is a year I can garden in. I don't think that is worth another 3-4 mil.

People should not be able to buy more than one house atm, they should have implemented it and at least given people a few weeks to try and get one, and then open up mutli-properties later. And people should not be able to sell them at this moment, SE should have known that would be abused.

Sorry if this has all been said, as I said I've been gone for two weeks and I come back to this mess.
