Soloing no more?

I understand a lot of MMOers cant grasp this concept of solo option. I totally get what you're saying. Yes this is an MMO. But you see, if this was Guild wars, i wouldnt have made this post.

A lot of FF fans were pissed that XIV was going to be an online title just because of the grouping, grinding and less focus on classic FF elements such as story and solo play. But you see I was one of the morons that believed the original FFXIV team when they said it was going to be very solo friendly. I was hoping for that hybrid experience (an experience still being promised) so that I could group with ppl and tackle missions/quests as a group, but not rely on that to get though the story.

MMO ppl dont understand and thats ok.But Im thinking there are other FF fans out there that get it.

You have to remember that before it was an MMO it was a single player story RPG experience. I'm just one of those classic fans that doesn't mind the MMO aspect, just dont want to have to rely on it all the time.

And finally, my main point on this post was that, altho I like FFXI and miss it, I just dont want to see a repeat: sitting in Jeuno for hours LFG, finally getting a group, taking 30min to get the party to camp because someone had to run to AH, someone missed the airship or boat, anothers trying to get a tele and by the time the party gets going, someone has to leave and pt disbands. No thank you

Nice try but it didn't bring any customers...because those of that opinion simply didn't want to play FF14. There are so many other games (aka wow clones) that cater to it, and to be frank every Free to play caters to it.

I'm not even sure why you want to play FF14 the reality one or the fictional one. Wouldn't you be better off with "The quest for glory the 13th now free to play, and comes with a free mount and xp potion when you join"?
