This is the dumbest thing i have ever read, if people want to make gil all they need to do is gather and craft no rng to it.(You can nq everything and still make profit)Getting enough gil ahead of the curve ahead of 99% of the people requires some serious RNG. Whether it is lucky dungeon drops or doing tons of HQ crafting and getting lucky on that RNG on a consistent basis and/or mining and gathering getting lucky on the RNG to drop you the HQ mats to use or sell or get lucky on the RNG treasure maps. Unless you can play 24/7 nonstop since release date and saved every gil (like ride your chocobo instead of teleporting), you will not be able to save the millions of gil needed for the lots. The people that have the funds saved up, have gotten lucky off the RNG consistently over time and made smart decisions with that gil.

Don't feed the troll quince! This person nyraku has been posting in all the housing threads trying to stir it up. And your right making Gil isn't nrg based. No idea why they would think that lol
NQ stuff loses you funds. The time you spend on them won't get you ahead of 99% of the people, nor will it get you the millions needed to get a house. Go ahead NQ all your crafts and see how long it takes to generate funds. A shard is 100 gil give or take. Just because you think you get for free from mining, doesn't properly account for is relative value. If you sell NQ items you be hard pressed to make cover even the shards you put in the time you put in, you might as well just farm shards and sell them straight up. At 100 gil per shard you are looking at 10,000 shards to get a mil. But it will probably take you 5 hours to get 1000 shards, and so maybe 40 to 50 hours of game time of nonstop gathering to get to 10,000 shards.
So that will not earn you the millions you need anytime soon. Of course if you flood the market with shards the shard prices will drop too. Not to mention you will be bored out of your mind collecting those shards. And that is ignoring the fact that the right HQ items can often sell for 10x the NQ items which blindly ignoring the efficency of the matter. Being able to get the funds to get a house is RNG, just indirect RNG, and you have more options to make your own luck along the way. The problem is people think they should be entitled to in game personal housing, and ignore the fact the FC room is their guaranteed personal housing for the entitled.
