No FC room, no personal house... big deal??

While I know that housing is not important to you, I did find a nice little place that may be perfect for you....

You are a funny fellow. I deal with real house in real life. Got make sure drains on are not plugged for the renters, make the rain gutters don't get clogged. Got fix the AC/HVAC. Got deal with people needing extra two weeks to come up with the rent etc. Got to satisfy all the city inspections codes, safety codes. Check up on the the renters to make sure they are NOT trying to run a meth lab or something worse. It is NOT all about making a place look pretty.

There are already too many minions to collect, lots more alt classes to level up and gear, tons of crafting to do. How the heck is everyone going to have time to get a house, add a stable and play chocobo coloring lab?

I don't tell people what they should want, but seriously there so much to do why fixate on the personal housing? I would like it better if they stay with FC housing, and they can have expanded gardens or stables to make the gardening and chocobo people happy.

So imagine if the houses were lower price like he said, there is a 95% chance you wouldn't of gotten a house because your above post would of been seconds.

Even if you logged out in the 3 home cities someone also has did the same, which would mean all this fuss over high prices wouldn't of mattered if they were low prices as well.

If the system were set up properly, then the prices could have been set reasonably as well. The real problem is they set up a housing system with a limited number of available plots. Personal housing requires a system that allows as many houses as there are players. Any issues with the pricing are secondary to that. They have to fix the main problem in availability before fixing the price problem would be meaningful. (But eventually, they need to fix both problems.)

The question is why is availability a problem? Why don't people want to share the FC houses? What is so wrong with sharing and working together? Why is it we hear about people buying up 4 small houses instead of sharing and building a FC that can buy the 1 big one?

I would really hate it if the house became lonely and empty with no one going there. And before you know it 35 days, the FC might be around but their houses are all going defunct and getting reclaimed because no one uses them.

Because of gardening for example. Your fc leader can easily throw away all crops that you've planted and was growing for several days before. Or any member with sufficient rights.

Oh, and you should have rights in FC to do gardening and\or stables.

What if they only let 5% of the player population get Coil gear, and said that others will be able to get their own at some indefinite point in the future? Would that be okay? No, no it would not.

In any case from looking at the lots unsold, it would seem that most people do not even have the 3.3 mil needed for a small lot. So what is the complaint about everything being sold out. BTW 3.3 mil now is sure a lot more affordable now given the more ways to make gil than the 4 mil so for house when housing first became available.

Because it's not the same thing at all?
you speak about 3 different limitations:
minions => RNG limitation => try again
novus/nexu => work limitation => farm more
housing => not enough for everybody => you can't do anything for that

if people believe they entitled to housing access is cause they are. Everybody pay the same price to play this game, BUT only a percentage has acces to the full contant (housing/gardening/chocobo breeding) not cause they not work enough/have enough luck but because there is no place for equality of chance between players. (and before you ask, i have a room in my FC house, can use the garden and breed my chocobo, i wasn't interesting in buying a personnal house cause my room was enough for me but i think this really a mistake from the devs and an insult to every players who waited the housing)

Why are people complaining about a total optional vanity acquisition? Maybe they should have gated this behind a grind like atma?

For those who were really looking forward to this (I am not one of them, I am perfectly content with my FC room) the matter lies in that by the time that prices would drop to their minimum level there would be no plots left to purchase. Already on Leviathan the majority of the plots have been bought, and I'm sure the same applies to other world servers with high populations.

*rubs chin* Actually, since it's been awhile since I last checked, I would be surprised if there is a single plot left. Maybe in the Goblet, since nobody likes the Goblet...

One thing that is seriously bothering me is how much people are complaining about how houses are so expensive. Seeing as how most houses sold within hours, they weren't expensive to a lot of people. I had enough to buy one, but I couldn't bring myself to buy one. I like vanity, and I customize my character all the time, but my character is something I always look at. For me, I'm rarely at my FC house, and I don't think I'd go to my own often at all. For me, that's 3mil I can spend elsewhere.

Seriously?....so if I have 100 people in a famine area and I sell 2 pizzas for $5k each....then I guess the pricing was right because I sold them all.
