    Ugh really...? I have been playing since 2.0, I have a full time irl job & work out regularly to stay fit. I do roulettes when I can, try to get most of the challenge log done each week, help out FC mates, I craft what I need but that & selling materia are not my main focus. Seems more like real work to me that the enjoyment from other aspects of this game. I don't have enough gil to afford even a small house.

    Neither do I. when I first joined the game, I made millions of gil leveling crafts and gathering jobs. my FC leader decided we all needed to chip in and start saving for the FC house. He kept saying he couldn't put any in because he was "too poor," so I bought gear forhim, put in extra so he'd be covered, etc. He wound up stealing the FC bank and starting a new one.

    Then, I joined a new FC and mentioned needing to buy my new level 50 accessories from 2.3 to get the 2 and 3 star crafts. Another crafter said, "I'll make those for you! Just buy all of the ingredients and send them to me!" I did. 2 weeks later, he still hadn't crafted any of my gear. It turns out he'd sold it all on the AH and pocketed the money.

    Now, I'm sitting on 197,826 gil and I can't make anything because the market on my server is garbage. Every time I find a halfway decent way to make money, 100 other crafters jump on the bandwagon and drive the prices to almost nothing. It's not that I haven't worked hard. It's that I trusted the wrong people.

    Ugh, that's horrible. I really hope you and the rest of your FC filed a report on your FC leader.

    Most of them had quit or gone on breaks to play other games. The the only people left were his RL friends. They said that's just the kind of guy he is. They'd learned to deal with it.

    Anyway, I'd really been looking forward to personal housing. It looks like I'll have to suck it up and work overtime to buy one. ^^

    And this is the reason why I don't even bother to jump on my 50 BTN. There isn't a community friendly form of income... at all. Its all 'EVERYONE FOR THEMSELVES! EVERYONE IS AN ENEMY!' here.

    So don't make money off the markets...

    Duty Roulette, just going off the Adventure in Need bonus, because I forget the regular Gil it gives;
    Expert - 4,500 Gil. Alexandrite Map reward after that if you're that far in Relic quest, giving an extra 1,600 Gil (more but I'm rounding off memory).
    High Level - 4,500 Gil.
    Low Level - 4,500 Gil.
    Trials - 2,700 Gil.
    Main Scenario - 4,500 Gil.
    Guildhest - 1125 Gil.

    Beast Tribe Dailies;
    Around 700 Gil per quests, 6 quests, 4,200 Gil reward.

    Daily Hunt Mark Bills;
    3,000 Gil in Hunting Log style kills.
    4,000 Gil in FATE camping.

    Daily Treasure Maps;
    1,600 Gil ~ 5,000 Gil per map. Chance for a Unhidden Map, which is 10,000 Gil ~ 30,000 Gil - or you can sell it on the markets for a ridiculous amount.

    Retainer Ventures;
    OK, I can't be asked to work this one out - if you send them off on Explorations they bring back Allagan pieces, brings in a couple thousand Gil per Retainer, I'm sure.

    That's well over 30,000 Gil a day, with the regular reward from Duty Roulette missing - it wouldn't even take you a week to double your Gil. I'm not saying do all of these things (unless you want to), I'm just pointing out that this game throws Gil at you if you know where to look. Heck, you can repeat the Duty Roulette ad nauseam to get the bonus all day long if you have the Jobs leveled. Guildhest is literally a couple minutes work for 1,000 Gil unless you get unlucky.

    So thirty thousand a day, not counting teleporting and repair fees and any other desires it will take someone 133 days making 30,000 a day to earn themselves a small house - if SE's system even has any houses left. xD

    So long as people find making materia boring/too many steps and RNG, I'd rather make money off the wards lol.
